  • Applicants must apply Online Application through the Online Portal available on the Institute Website http//:www.mnnit.ac.in. Applications received through any other mode shall not be accepted and summarily rejected. Every completed Online Application shall be identified by a unique Application Reference Number, which shall be used for any future communication. Applicants are advised to
    download the same from Institute website and keep a hard copy of the duly filled application along with the proof of required fee deposited in the specific bank account.   • Last date of receiving hard copy is 15.10.2019 (5.30 P.M.). Institute will not be responsible, under any circumstances, for any sort of postal delay. Applications received after due date shall be summarily rejected.
  • The Institute shall retain applicant’s data of non-shortlisted applicants only for three months after the completion of recruitment process.
  • Applicants who wish to apply for more than one Post [Academic Level/ AGP]/ Department must apply separately for each Post [Academic Level/ AGP]/ Department in the prescribed manner and separate Application with fee must be deposited for each Post [Academic Level/ AGP]/ Department.
  • Applications which are not in prescribed form / without relevant supporting enclosures and fee shall be summarily rejected. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
  • Applicants shall indicate Two References of eminent persons in the field/ profession who may be contacted by the Institute for their recommendations.
  • The Institute has right to set higher norms than minimum and areas of specialization while short listing,taking into account the specific requirements of the individual departments. The short listing norms may not be uniform across the Departments/ Posts of the Institute and shall be binding on all the Applicants.
  • The decision of the Institute related to all matters pertaining to the recruitment shall be final and binding on the Applicants.
  • The date for determining eligibility of applicants in every respect i.e. qualifications, experience and preferred age limit etc. shall be considered as on the closing date, i.e. the Last Date of the Submission
    of Application Form. However, those who have submitted the Ph.D. but not awarded, may be considered but they must produce documentary proof towards award of Ph.D. at the time of presentation/Interview, failing which shall be debarred from the Recruitment process.
  • More than six months of experience in relevant regular position in any organization shall only be considered in total experience.
  • Short listed applicants may be required to appear for Written Test and/or Presentation/Seminar in the respective Departments, in addition to appearing before the Selection Committee. No TA/DA will be paid for attending written test.
  • Screening Criteria and Selection process for the advertised positions shall be notified separately.

  • EWS certificate issued on or after 1st April, 2019 shall be considered for reservation under EWS category, whose family has gross annual income below `8.00 Iakh (Rupees Eight Lakh only) for the
    financial year prior to the year of application. Also persons whose family owns or possesses any of the assets as mentioned in DOPT, Govt. of India OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31st January, 2019 shall also be excluded from being identified as EWS, irrespective of the family income. The EWS certificate must be produced in the prescribed proforma [Refer ANNEXURE- D].
  • The persons with disability (PwD) shall be required to submit the Disability/Medical Certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent medical authorities for the purpose of employment as per Government of India norms at the time of presentation/interview. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the disability shall only be eligible for the benefit of reservation under this category [Refer ANNEXURE- E].
  • Original documents along with one set of self-attested copies will have to be produced at the time of interview for verification.
  • Applicants are advised/ required to visit the Institute website www.mnnit.ac.in regularly. List of applicants shortlisted for further participation in the selection process such as presentation/Interview etc will be displayed on the Institute website. No separate communication/intimation in this regard shall be made by the Institute.
  • Legal disputes, if any, with MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Allahabad/ Prayagraj, U.P., India only.

  • Applicants will be considered only for the post applied for.   • Written Test and/or Presentation/ Interview shall be conducted only at MNNIT Allahabad or as decided by the Institute on a date specified. No request for change of Venue/ Date of selection process shall be considered under any circumstances.

  • Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNNIT or NIT Allahabad), formerly Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREC), is a public higher education institute located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is one among the NITs National Institute of Technology in the country,and like the rest of them, classified as an Institute of National Importance.The college has the distinction of the being first in the country to start an undergraduate programme in Computer Science & Engineering, in 1976-77.
  • Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College was established in 1961. Allahabad University also had a Department of Electronics & Communication (J.K. Institute of Applied Physics & Technology) engineering college but MNREC was started with two another branches of engineering- Civil & Mechanical. The foundation stone was laid by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, and the institute was named after his father, lawyer and freedom fighter, Motilal Nehru. The founding principal of the college was Gopal Kishore Agrawal.
  • The main building of the college was inaugurated by Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on 18 April 1965. Effective from 26 June 2002, the college became a deemed university and was renamed as Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology.
  • From its beginnings the institute offered bachelor’s degree programmes in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The institute was the first in the country to offer an undergraduate program in Computer Science and Engineering, which was started in 1976. In 1982-83 undergraduate programs in Electronics Engineering, and Production and Industrial Engineering were started.
  • Postgraduate programs were introduced in 1970-71 with master’s degree courses in all engineering departments. The institute now offers M. Tech. degree programs, MCA, M. Sc Mathematics and Scientific Computing courses and registers candidates for Ph. D. degrees. The institute has been recognized by the Government of India as a center for the quality improvement program in Civil and Mechanical Engineering. The institute started a two year/four semesters postgraduate degree in Management Studies in 1996. The institute added undergraduate programs in Chemical Engineering and BioTechnology in 2006.
