Diploma in GNM and min 3 yrs experience / PG Degree (MPT/M.Sc. PT) /Degree/Diploma in Special Education and min 2 yrs experience.

General Information:
- Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for selection to the following post(s) purely on contract basis in the Institute. Interested candidates should report to the Establishment Section, NILD,B. T. Road, Bon-Hooghly, Kolkata-700090 along with their Original Certificates and Mark Sheets (For Verification Only), a recent passport size photographs, a set of self attested photo copies of all Certificates and Bio-Data. The Walk-in-Interview will be held on 24-12-2020 at 12.00 Noon onwards. Candidates should report at the venue 60 minutes before the scheduled time.
- The engagement will be purely on contract basis on consolidated remuneration initially for six months and may be extended at the discretion of the competent authority based on good conduct and satisfactory performance of the incumbent and subject to requirements of the institute.
- The engagement is purely contractual in nature and does not confer any right for regularization or permanent absorption.
- The appointee will not be entitled to any allowances, financial benefits or concession as admissible to government employees. Statutory deduction will be made according to rules.
- Number of vacancy as indicated may vary as per institute requirement. Institute shall prepare panel of selected candidates & same shall valid for One year from the date of recommendation. Engagement of candidate shall be considered on the basis of vacancy if arises and subject to validity of panel.
- Canvassing and/or bringing influence in any form will disqualify the candidature.
- He/She is expected to confirm to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the Institute employees.
- The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.

- National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan) is an apex organization in the area of locomotor disability which came into the service since 1978 as an autonomous body under the ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It is located in the city Kolkata and expanding its services whole country wide.
- To develop Human Resource (manpower) for providing services to the Orthopaedically Handicapped population, namely training of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Orthotists & Prosthetists, Employment & Placement Officers and Vocational Counsellor etc. To conduct and sponsor research in all aspects related to the rehabilitation of the Orthopaedically handicapped. To provide services in the area of rehabilitation, restorative surgery, aids & appliances and vocational training to the persons with disability. To standardize aids and appliances and to promote their manufacturing and distribution.
- To provide consultancy to the State Government and voluntary agencies. To serve as an apex documentation and information centre in the area of disability & rehabilitation
- The campus consists of Institutes main building and residential area. It was taken by the Ministry of Health, Govt. of India in 1978 from West Bengal Government and setup as autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India in 1982. The Institute is situated at B.T. Road, Bon Hooghly, Kolkata-700 090 adjacent to the Main Road and well connected to main City by Public Conveyance. It takes 20 minutes from NSB Airport & 30 minutes from Sealdah Rly. Station.
- AreaNILD consists 9934 Sq.m. land. 2788 Sq.m. land has been transferred to Regional Centre of AYJNIHH, NIMH, NIVH & Eastern Region Marketing Centre of ALIMCO, Kanpur is also in the premises. The premises is having good ambience, greenery & eco-friendly. Lit with solar light street lamps.
