General Information:

  • The Date of Birth as well as the name of the applicant will invariably be taken from 10th class certificate issued by the recognized Board and no other proof of date of birth and name shall be accepted.
  • The cut-off date for reckoning eligibility for age will be the last date for submitting on-line application as mentioned at point no. 6(b) of this notification. In case, the last date of submitting of application is extended, the original cutoff date for reckoning eligibility will remain unchanged.
  • The prescribed minimum educational qualifications are mandatory and in the absence of the same any higher qualification even if possessed by the candidate does not make any candidate eligible to be called for Group Discussion & Interview.
  • NMDC Management reserves the right to alter/fix the criteria for calling the candidates for GD & Interview on the basis of GATE Score and Educational qualification etc.
  • During recruitment process, if any information provided by the candidate is found incorrect/incomplete or it is not in conformity with eligibility criteria as specified in the notification for the above post or if it is found that candidate has concealed/distorted any material information his/her candidature will be cancelled at any stage during the recruitment process or even after selection.
  • Mere fulfilling of the minimum criteria will not vest any right in candidates for being called for different stages of recruitment process. Depending upon response and requirement, the management reserves the right to raise/relax/cancel/ modify/alter the entire recruitment/selection process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason whatsoever. Decision of management to call the candidates for selection shall be final. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
  • In case of any typographical errors or omissions, clarification, corrigendum to the notification shall be issued in NMDC website only. In such cases, the last date of receipt of applications will also be extended. In general, no modification in number of vacancies, notified specifications/criteria would be made after issue of employment notification.
  • While applying for above post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility and other criteria mentioned above as on the cutoff date and that the particulars furnished are correct in all respects.
  • All the Outstation candidates called and attended for GD & Interview will be reimbursed Travelling Allowance of second A/C Two Tier Rail/Bus fare on production of Railway/Bus tickets by shortest route as per rules. (TA Form attached as Annexure – I).
  • 10 At the time of attending GD & Interview, candidates are required to submit duly filled-in Travelling Allowance form along with its required travelling tickets in original for its re-imbursement to the candidates as per eligibility. However, the said Travelling Allowance will be paid through e-payment by NMDC in due course.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/EWS/PWD/Exservicemen category should enclose a copy of caste/permanent Certificate as applicable in the prescribed proforma specified by Govt. of India. The OBC certificate submitted by the candidate should be issued within 06 months from the date of Interview and as per the orders contained in Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public grievance and Pensions, New Delhi, Office Memorandum No.36012/22/93- Estt(SCT) dated 08.09.93 and should clearly indicate that the candidate does not belong
    to the persons/sections (Creamy Layer) as mentioned in column-3 of the Schedule of the above referred Office Memorandum dated 08.09.93 and also belong to the community listed as OBC by Government of India as per latest directives issued by Government of India.
  • Candidates seeking reservation under EWS will have to submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by the Competent Authority. The prescribed format and the competent authority for the said certificate have been mentioned in DOPT Office Memorandum No.36039/1/2019 dated 31.1.19. (EWS Certificate Format attached as Annexure – IV).
  • Category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD) once filled in the online application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.
  • If the SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/EWS/PWD certificate has been issued in a language other than English/Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a selfcertified translated copy of the same either in English or Hindi.
  • Ex-servicemen are required to produce equivalence certificate of his/her qualification acquired by them issued by the competent authority at the time of GD & Interview. In absence of the above, candidates shall not be allowed to appear in the Group Discussion & Interview.
  • The prescribed Travelling Allowance claim form (Annexure-I), caste certificates for SC/ST (Annexure-II), OBC (NCL) Certificate (Annexure-III) & EWS certificate (AnnexureIV) are available in the notification on the Careers page of NMDC website i.e. www.nmdc.co.in only.
  • The term departmental candidates means only those candidates who are currently working with NMDC as permanent employees.
  • Merely applying through online mode will not entitle a candidate to have claim with regard to his/her application. They must submit the hard copy of the downloaded/filled in application form along with supporting documents for age, qualification, experience, GATE -2021 Admit Card, NMDC Application form etc. (self attested), as claimed by them in their application, failing which his/her candidature will be summarily rejected.
  • Candidates, if shortlisted for Group Discussion & Interview, are required to bring their original GATE 2021 score card as received from GATE-2021 Organizing Authority, at the time of Group Discussion & Interview.
  • No interim correspondence will be entertained on any account during recruitment process. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.

  • NMDC Limited, (formerly National Mineral Development Corporation), is an Indian public sector mineral producer. It is 69.65% owned by the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
  • It is involved in the exploration of iron ore, copper, rock phosphate, limestone, dolomite, gypsum, bentonite, magnesite, diamond, tin, tungsten, graphite, etc.
  • It is India’s largest iron ore producer and exporter, producing more than 35 million tonnes of iron ore from three mechanized mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka. It also operates the only mechanized diamond mine in the country at Panna in Madhya Pradesh.
  • NMDC Ltd. is diversified into other raw materials for the steel industry such as low silica limestone. Production of dead burnt magnesite and further value addition is under study through its subsidiary J K Mineral Development Corporation Limited.
  • NMDC Ltd. has taken over a silica sand mining and beneficiation project from Uttar Pradesh State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. The plant is designed to produce beneficiated high purity silica sand to a capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year as the raw material for production of float/sheet glass.
  • A memorandum of understanding has been signed between NMDC, Indian Rare Earths Limited, (IRE) and Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation to establish a joint venture for the development of Bheemunipatnam Beach Sand. The project envisages mining of beach sands, setting up of mineral separation plant for ilmenite concentrate and a downstream value addition plant for conversion of ilmenite into synthetic rutile/TiO2 slag/TiO2 pigment with pig iron as by-product.
  • NMDC set up a 3 MTPA capacity greenfield Nagarnar Steel Plant based on HiSmelt technology, 16 km from Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh state, with an estimated outlay of Rs 20000 crore.
  • The plant site is around 16 km from Jagdalpur and 6 km from the Orissa–Chattishgarh border. The nearest railway station is Amaguda (around 2 km). The site is located on National Highway NH 30. The nearby airports are Jagdalpur, Raipur & Vishakhapatnam and the nearest seaport is Visakhapatnam located at a distance of approx 325 km. The nearest river is Indravati, located at a distance of 3 km.
