General Instruction:

  • All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Kalyani, West Bengal.
  • The aspiring applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect can submit their application through ON-LINE mode followed by submission of the hard copy of the online filled form. The On-line registration of application will be made available on AIIMS, Kalyani official website i.e.
    aiimskalyani.edu.in link for submission of online applications in respect of above said posts along with other relevant information will be activated on the date of advertisement on Employment News/ Rojgar Samachar or earlier (as posted on the website). The last date of online submission of applications will be 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News/Rojgar Samachar. In case the last date falls on weekly off or holidays, then the last date of submission of application will be shifted to the next working days (up to 5.00 PM). The hard copy of the on-line applications have to be sent along with self-attested copies of certificates/documents in support of fulfilling the essential criteria of age, educational qualification, teaching/research experiences etc. besides others in support of their candidature within 15 days from the last date of receipt of online application. The hard copy of on-line application shall be enclosed with self-attested copies of Matriculation Certificate, MBBS Degree Certificate/Mark-Sheets, MD/MS/DM/MCh or equivalent certificates/Mark sheets, Teaching/Research Experiences Certificates etc. The Experience Certificate should clearly show the period of experience, duration of experience (“from” to “to”), Nature of experience (either teaching or research) etc. The candidates can only mention those teaching experiences which are recognized by MCI/Govt. of India. The signed hard copy of on-line application along with all above mentioned certificates/documents should be sent through
    Speed Post/Courier etc. within stipulated period. On-line application without receipt of hard copy application will not be considered.

  • The envelope containing the application should be super-scribed with “Application for the post of………………….. ” w.r.t. Advertisement No.
  • Candidates are advised to fill their correct and active e-mail ID in the online application, as all correspondences will be made by the Institute through e-mail. Test/Interview schedule will be mailed in due course to the candidate in their registered e-mail.
  • The applicants applying in response to this advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the post applied for. They must be fulfilling eligibility criteria as on the closing date of online applications failing which their application will be rejected.
  • The On-line application will be closed on the last date of the receipt of application i.e., 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. The candidature of such applicants who fails to complete the online application submission by the stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
  • The candidate must ensure that their latest photo and signature should be clearly visible in preview at the time of filling of application in online mode. If photo/signature image is displayed small or not visible in preview on website, that means photo/signature is not as per the AIIMS, Kalyani prescribed guidelines and in that case, their application will be rejected.   • In case a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, he/she is required to fill in the form separately through On-line mode only followed by paying application fees as applicable is to be paid.
  • Professor/Additional Professor: – Not exceeding 58 (Fifty Eight) years as on the last date of the receipt of the online application i.e. 30 days from the date of the publication of this advertisement in Employment News/Rojgar Samachar.
  • Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor: – Not exceeding 50 (Fifty) years as on the last date of the receipt of the online application i.e. 30 days from the date of the publication of this advertisement in Employment News/Rojgar Samachar.
  • Candidates applying under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/OH will be considered subject to Caste/OH Certificate issued by the appropriate/Competent Authority in the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the Certificate.
  • OBC candidate’s eligibility will be based on the caste(s) borne in the Central List of Government of India. OBC candidate(s) should not belongs to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should match with the entries in Central List of OBC, failing which their candidatures will not be considered under any of the applied reserved category post(s).
  • 4% of the total vacancies is horizontally reserved for PwBD (OH-OL and BL) candidates and also PWBD as per the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s Notification No. 16-15/2010-DD.III dated 29th July, 2013 as amended from time to time as applicable.
  • The candidate must possess a valid document certifying his/her physical disability is conforming to judgment of Supreme Court of India i.e. “With approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India vide letter no. 18018/2/2009-ME(P-1) dated 17-02-2009 it has been decided that while providing reservation in admission to medical course in the first instance candidates with disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% shall be considered and in case candidates are not available of such candidates in that category then the candidates with disability of lower limbs between 40% to 50% will also be considered for admission as per decision in the Supreme Court of India. Only such person would be eligible for reservation under PwD Quota in service/post who suffer from not less than 40% of disability as identified for that post as per Govt. of India instruction.”
  • The disability certificate as notified by Government should be signed by a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board of the State or Central Govt. Hospitals/Institutions & countersigned by Medical Superintendent.
  • The constitution of the Medical Board will be one consultant each from disciples of Orthopaedics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Surgery. OPH candidates who apply will be considered against seats in category in which he/she has applied i.e. Gen/SC/ST or OBC. Last seat/s in the respective category will be offered to OPH candidates, (in case OPH candidate is not able to make his/her their own merit). The candidates are to satisfy all eligibility criteria before online application. They must possess the educational qualification and experiences as recognized by the Govt. of India. Their candidature will be cancelled at any stage if it is found that their educational qualification or experiences is not recognized by the Govt. of India.

    Sciences. Announced in 2014 and approved in 2015, construction started in 2016 and the institute started operation in 2019, one of six AIIMSs to do so in that year. It is one of the finest medical schools of the country. According to the various rankings of AIIMS, it come just after AIIMS-Delhi and AIIMS-Bhubaneshwar, inspite of being so new.
  • AIIMS Kalyani was set up as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) initiative, announced by the Government of India in 2003 and officially launched in March 2006, for the purpose of “correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable tertiary
    healthcare services”, through setting up AIIMS Delhi-like institutions and upgrading government medical colleges.Establishing an AIIMS in West Bengal was proposed in 2012 as part of the 12th Five-Year Plan, with the original location proposed being Raiganj, 400 kilometres (250 mi) from the
    capital Kolkata, but by June 2014, the proposed location was changed to Kalyani, only 50 kilometres (31 mi) from the capital.The AIIMS was officially announced in July 2014,in the budget speech for 2014–15,where the Minister of Finance Arun Jaitley announced a budget of ₹500 crore (equivalent
    to ₹643 crore or US$90 million in 2019) for setting up the four “Phase-IV” AIIMSs, in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and the Purvanchal region in Uttar Pradesh.In March 2015, the union cabinet gave an official approval for the location, on a 150-acre
    lot in the village Basantapur, Saguna(GP), near Kalyani.A budget of ₹1,754 crore (US$250 million) was approved in October 2015 and the 179.82-acre lot of land was handed over from the West Bengal government to the central government in December of that year.
  • The construction of the institute started in 2016, with a target completion date of March 2020.The institute became operational with the first batch of 50 MBBS students,which started in September 2019,one of the six AIIMSs to become operational in 2019.The mentoring institution is AIIMS
    Bhubaneswar,the first Director appointed was Dipika Deka and Chitra Sarkar selected as president.Deka resigned in May 2019, leaving the director’s position open,In March 2020, Ramji Singh was appointed as new director.
  • The permanent 180 acres (0.73 km2) campus of AIIMS Kalyani is under construction, with an expected completion date in October 2020.Temporarily, classes of the first batch were taken at the College of Medicine & JNM Hospital campus in Kalyani, while students are already staying at the hostel on campus.Dr. Ritesh Singh is the Hostel Superintendent. An outpatient department (OPD) at the permanent campus is expected to start in February 2020.
