Essential Qualifications:

a) 10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized University/Institute/Board.

• 10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education(by whatever name known) from recognized University/ Institute/Board, in accordance with the NCTE(Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2002.
• 10+2(or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education(B.EI.Ed.) from recognized University/ Institute/Board.
• 10+2(or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education(Special Education) from recognized University/ Institute/Board.
• Graduation with two year Diploma in Elementary Education(by whatever name known) from recognized University/ Institute/Board.

b) Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test-I(TET-I) conducted by State Government or any other agency approved by NCTE.
