General Information:

  • A candidate whether belongs to General category or reserved categories can submit only one application for a particular post. Scanned copies of essential certificates, like, date of birth, qualification, experience, reservation proof with domicile, if claimed, etc. may be submitted with the On-line appllcation form on or before 01.01.2020 upto 1600 hours. Applications received late will not be considered. This office would not be responsible for any delay and the applicants are advised to apply well in advance. No application shall be received by hand or in person or by post except in case of already in-service candidates through proper channel. All the columns of the Application Form should be filled in properly.
  • The applicant shall fill in all the columns of the form and write N/A in case any column is not applicable.
  • The applicant must fulfillthe age requirement as on 01.07.2019. The upper age is relaxable (a) by 5 years for SC/ST candidates & up to 3 years for OBC candidates, (b) to the extent of 5 years for physically handicapped persons on production of Medical certificate from the Competent Authority (c) in case of Ex-servicemen, as per Central Government Recruitment Rules DoPT No. 150121212010-Estt.(D) Dated 27.03.2012 as amended from time to time and (d) up to 5 years for persons already in the employment of Central/State Government or their Undertakings/ Autonomous Bodies/Boards/ Corporations.
  • ln the case of reserved category candidates, the benefit of age relaxation and fee concession (wherever applicable) will be available only to the candidates possessing the reservation certificate issued by the Competent Authority including those as notified by the Central/State Government from time to time.
  • Candidates seeking benefit of the age relaxation / fee concession under Ex-servicemen quota will include Ex-servicemen himself, his sons and unmarried daughters or daughter-in-law in case no other member of the family has availed the benefit as notified in Central Government Recruitment Rules as amended from time to time. Dependent of such Ex-servicemen will have to produce a certificate of Dependency from the District Sainik Welfare Board, in the prescribed proforma.
  • Wherever applicable, Persons applying under orthopedically handicapped category having minimum 40o/o or more Physical defect and deformity as certified/issued by competent authority (Civil Surgeon/PGIMER/Govt. Hospital/Main General Hospital) shall only be eligible for the benefit of age relaxation as permissible under the rules of Central Government.
  • W.e.f. 16.12.2016 DoPT/Central Government Reservatlon Policy is applicable in BBMB and present advertisement.
  • Every candidate must apply on-line but the candidates already in service (Govt./Semi Govt./ Corporation or Autonomous Body) are simultaneously required to apply through proper channel later-on and hard copy of application through proper channel must reach in due course of time before closing date of receipt of on-line application.
  • The candidate who is in service will have to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of written TesUTrade Test from his/her Head of lnstitution/employer otherwise he/she will not be allowed to appear in written test/Trade Test.’
  • Submission of incomplete application form i.e. without scanned copies of testimonials of prescribed minimum educational qualification as per advertisement, experience certificate (if required), Date of Birth certificate, reservation status with domicile etc. may render the candidate ineligible.
  • The candidates who wish to apply for more than one post, should submit separate application form for each post.
  • The number of posts is liable to increase or decrease either way, including complete withdrawal.
  • The applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
  • The benefit of reservation, includinq the benefit of relaxation in upper aqe limit in resoect of Candidates belonqino to reserved cateqorv, will be as per Central Govt. instructions issued from time to time.

About Us:

Vacancy Notice 45 Fireman, Sewerman & Various Vacancy – BBMB,Chandigarh

  • As per the Indus Water Treaty, 1960 signed between India and Pakistan, the waters of three eastern rivers namely the Sutlej, the Beas and the Ravi were allotted to India for exclusive use. A Master Plan was drawn to harness the potential of these rivers for providing assured irrigation, power generation and flood control. Bhakra and Beas Projects form major part of the plan, and were established as a joint-venture of the erstwhile states of Punjab and Rajasthan.
  • On Reorganisation of the erstwhile state of Punjab on 1st November, 1966, Bhakra Management Board (BMB) was constituted under section 79 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966. The administration, maintenance and operation of Bhakra Nangal Project were handed over to Bhakra Management Board w.e.f. 1st October 1967.
  • The Beas Project Works, on completion, were transferred by Government of India from Beas Construction Board (BCB) to Bhakra Management Board as per the provisions of Section 80 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966. Pursuant to this Bhakra Management Board was renamed as Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) w.e.f. 15th May 1976. Since then, the Bhakra Beas Management Board is dedicated to the service of nation and is engaged in regulation of the supply of Water & Power from Bhakra Nangal and Beas Projects to the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pardesh, Delhi and Chandigarh.
