General Instruction:
- Application in the prescribed format is invited from Indian Nationals for recruitment of various Non-Teaching posts at National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Thiruvettakudy, Karaikal- 609 609. Reservation policy including the age relaxation shall be applicable as per Govt. of India guidelines. Interested candidates can download the prescribed application form at the Institute website http://www.nitpy.ac.in
- The candidates are required to download the prescribed format along with summary sheet from the Institute Website www.nitpy.ac.in. Application received incomplete in any manner will be summarily rejected without any further correspondence.
- A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- for General / OBC / PWD / EWS candidates & Rs. 250/- for SC / ST candidates be paid directly through SB Collect https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm. The self-attested copy of the payment proof to be attached failing which the application is rejected.
- If a candidate is applying for more than one post, separate application forms along with application fee are to be submitted for each post separately and should be sent by separate envelopes for each post failing which the application will be rejected.
- The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information, other documents and photograph.
- Furnishing of any false information and/or suppression/concealment of facts shall lead to rejection/cancellation of selection/recruitment of the said candidate.
- Reservation and Age relaxation in different categories as per Govt. of India guidelines shall be applicable.
- The Institute reserves the right not to fill up the posts.
- The age limit and qualification/experience etc. for the post as on the last date of submission of application form (i.e., 15.03.2021) shall be the eligibility criteria.
- The candidates seeking benefit of reservation under OBC category should produce the OBC –NCL certificate issued on or after 01.04.2020 from the concerned authority as per the format prescribed for Central Government only (format attached), failing which the candidate will be considered under Unreserved category.
- SC/ST candidates need to produce a copy of the certificate issued by Competent Authority. Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates need to submit the medical board certificate in the prescribed format. The disability is to be more than 40% with permanent disability.
- Candidates employed in Govt./Semi Govt./ any Organization should send their application through proper channel. In case, the original application routed through proper channel is likely to be delayed then advance application complete in all aspects, except the forwarding, with an undertaking form to be submitted by the candidates within the last date. In this case, application through proper channel should be reached on or before 26.03.2021, 5.00 p.m. In event of failure of receiving application through proper channel on or before 26.03.2021, 5.00 p.m. from the present employer, the application will be rejected without any further correspondence.
- The decision of the selection Committee will be final in the matter of selection.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending all the stages of the Selection process.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification for the post.
- Additional sheets may be attached, in the same format, wherever the space allocated in the application form is felt to be insufficient.
- Screening Committee reserves the right to call or not to call candidates for selection process.
- The decision of the Institute will be final and binding on all the applicants who respond to this advertisement. No interim communication on the status of application will be entertained under any circumstances.

Hand receipt of application or through courier is strictly prohibited. Candidates are advised to send their application in time so as to reach NIT Puducherry on or before 15.03.2021, 5.00 PM. Applications received after last date due to any reason will not be considered/entertained.
- Candidate shall complete the form in all respects without leaving any column blank. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Please enter “NA” if the information sought is not applicable.
- Candidates should submit self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents with reference to educational and skill qualifications, experience etc., along with the application form in the same sequence as filled in the application form, without which the application will be summarily rejected without any further correspondence.

- National Institute of Technology puducherry (NIT puducherry or NITPY) is an autonomous public engineering Institute located about 130 kilometers from the city of Puducherry at Karaikal, which is a part of the Union Territory of Puducherry and is an enclave within the Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu. It is one among the 31 National institutes of Technology of India and is declared as an Institute of National Importance by Government of India under NIT Act, 2007. The institute was established in 2010, starting its intake in the academic year 2010–11.
- NIT Puducherry is one of the ten NITs, sanctioned by the Government of India in 2009, as part of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2007–2012).The institute was mentored by National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli in the initial years.
- Students are admitted for undergraduate programs based on the merit list prepared by giving 100℅ weightage to marks scored in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE MAIN) formerly All India Engineering Entrance Examination.
- In total number of seats available 50% of seats are reserved for the candidates having residence/native at Puducherry state (includes Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam) and Andaman and Nicobar Islands (i.e., Home State).The remaining 50% seats are filled on all India quota basis. Joint Seat Allocation Authority handles UG admission process.
- Admission to PG programs is done based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score. PG admission is made through the Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT).
- NIT Puducherry follows the reservation policy declared by the Supreme Court of India, by which 27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBCs), 15% for Scheduled Castes (SCs), and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (STs).
- The institute also accepts foreign nationals through scholarships awarded by the Government of India, and non-resident Indians through an independent scheme known as Direct Admission for Students Abroad (DASA).
