Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC), an ISO 9001 :2008 certified Gold rated State Public Sector Undertaking (with installed capacity of 2062 MW) with 6 (six) multi location projects and one inter-state Project is on a high growth trajectory. The Corporation with its ambitious expansion plans will be setting up new Hydro projects and solar projects on its own and with joint venture. It has diversified into setting up of thermal power project (2400 MW) on a joint venture with OMC Ltd. and intends to recruit bright, qualified and energetic persons to the following posts for their placement at various units & project sites.

Essential Qualification :
1. HSC with approved trade certificate in Electrician trade from ITI.
2. Candidate possessing National Apprenticeship Certificate in Electrician trade from NCVT will be preferred.

Essential Qualification :
1. HSC with approved trade certificate in Fitter trade from ITI.
2. Candidate possessing National Apprenticeship Certificate in Fitter trade from NCVT will be preferred.

AGE : A candidate must be between the age of 18 (Eighteen) years to 32 (Thirty two) years as on 01.08.2012.

SELECTION PROCEDURE : Eligible candidates will be called for Written Test comprising multiple choice questions covering all aspects of General Aptitude test (General Knowledge, Mathematics, English & Reasoning) of fifty questions and a Trade test of one hundred questions. The test will be likely to be conducted at Bhubaneswar, Rourkela/ Sambalpur, Koraput or any other city within Odisha. However depending on the number of applications, OHPC may limit the test centres to one or two places.

a) Mere fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle the candidates to be calledfor written test.
b) In order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test themanagement reserves the right to raise the eligibility standards.
c) OHPC reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge / modify / alter therecruitment process, if need so arises, with issuing any further notice orassigning any reason whatsoever.
d) Management reserves the right not to fill any or all the positions so advertisedwithout assigning any reason thereof.
e) A pass in Odia Language test equivalent to ME standard is essential. Alternativelythe candidate has to pass the requisite language test in Odia within time-periodto be prescribed.
f) In case of non-availability of insufficient number of eligible/suitable womencandidate(s) belonging to any particular category, the vacancies or theremaining vacancies reserved for women candidate(s) of that category shall befilled up by male candidate(s) of the same category.
g) Only SC/ST candidates called for written test will be reimbursed journeyexpenses (to and fro) by 2nd Class Railway / Bus by the shortest route onproduction of copy of the ticket.
h) Candidates working in S t a t e / Central Government / PSUs shouldforward thei r applications through proper channel.
i) The E Mail ID entered in the application form must remain valid for at least nextone year. All future correspondences will be sent via E Mail.
j) The candidates finally selected should conform to the company’s medical standards.
