General Information:

  • Eligible candidates are invited for Walk-in-Interview for the following contractual posts, on the date and time indicated against each at CCRUM, Hqrs., 5th Floor, 61-65, Institutional Area, opposite D-Block, Janakpuri, New Delhi:
  • The selections will be made for the Institutes/Units as indicated in the advertisement. Once posted, the candidate will not normally be transferred.
    However, the Council reserves the right to transfer candidate in any other Institutes/Units of the Council.
  • The eligibility of the candidates will be determined at the time of interview.
  • The candidate, if employed with any Autonomous/Govt. or Private sector, may bring NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
  • The candidate appearing for the post of Consultant (Budget) should bring along the Pension Payment Order at the time of interview
  • The competent authority reserves the right to postpone/cancel the recruitment exercise at any stage.
  • The selected candidate shall have no claim for appointment on regular basis by virtue of their being engaged on contractual basis.
  • Interested candidates may also, in their own interest, ensure that they fulfil the eligibility conditions.

  • No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
  • Selection proceduce will be mainly based on the performance in the walk-in-interview to be conducted on given date.
  • Candidates must appear for the Walk-In on 05-04-2021 (11 AM) While appearing for Walk-In-Interview, the aspirants have to bring a print of their registration form along with attested copies & originals of relevant documents (Mark sheets, proof of date of birth, passing certificates of higher secondary examination i.e. 10+2 onwards, caste certificate etc).

  • The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Since its establishment in 1978, the CCRUM as the apex government organization for research in Unani Medicine has been engaged in conducting scientific research on the applied as well as fundamental aspects of Unani system of medicine. Consequently, over the past four decades of its existence, the Council has made significant strides in clinical research, drug standardization, survey and cultivation of medicinal plants, and literary research. Besides, research-oriented health extension services, and information, education and communication (IEC) activities have also been part of the Council’s programmes. Extension of Healthcare services under the scheme of collocation of AYUSH centres in Allopathic Hospital in Delhi, several Unani Medical Centres were established at RML Hospital, DDU Hospital, AIIA and at Safdarjung Hospital. With the efforts of the scientists and technical manpower at its 22 research centres spread across the country, the Council has won appreciation from various quarters for its patents which are 17 in number, innovative research outcomes, and scientific publications.
  • The Council under its Clinical Research Programme has so far conducted studies on a number of investigational drugs besides validating several pharmacopoeial formulations in different disease conditions at its research centres and in collaboration with other scientific institutions.
  • The Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine (CRIUM), Hyderabad is the most celebrated institute of the Council which has earned fame for treatment of vitiligo (Baraṣ) and other chronic and stubborn diseases.
    The CRIUM, Lucknow has attained good repute for research and development of treatment for musculoskeletal disorders.
    The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Chennai is the major research centre known for treatment of infective hepatitis and other chronic liver diseases.
    The RRIUM, Bhadrak has developed safe and effective treatment of filariasis (Dā’ al-Fīl).
    The RRIUM, Srinagar has conducted research on respiratory disorders.
  • The scientific institutions that collaborate with CCRUM include All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Interactive Research School for Health Affairs (IRSHA), Bhartiya Vidya Peeth University, Pune, Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, UDDAN, New Delhi, NMIMS University, Mumbai, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, AMU, Aligarh, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute (VPCI), University of Delhi, AMITY University, Noida.
  • In the area of Drug Standardization, the Council has developed pharmacopoeial standards for 298 single drugs and 200 compound formulations which have been published in Unani pharmacopoeia of India. Besides, six volumes of National Formulary of Unani Medicine have also been revisited recently for bringing out their revised addition.
  • In the area of Survey and Cultivation of Medicinal Plants, ethnobotanical surveys have been conducted in different forest areas of 14 states collecting over 1 lakhs specimens of medicinal plants. Besides, 16,442 medicinal folk claims have also been collected. Experimental and field scale cultivation of some important medicinal plants used in the Unani system of medicine has also been undertaken.
