Eligibility Criteria

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has specified an eligibility criterion for the candidates who are interested in applying for the ISRO Scientist Engineer Recruitment 2025. Before applying for the recruitment, candidates must make sure that they fulfil the required eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

  1. BE or B. Tech degree (or equivalent) in one of these fields: Electronics & Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Science Engineering
  2. At least 65% marks or a CGPA of 6.84 out of 10 in the degree
  3. Maximum age limit of 28 years old (as on 16/6/2025)
  4. Serving Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders.

The fee can be paid online using Internet Banking, Unified Payment Interface (UPI), Debit Cards (Domestic), and Credit Cards (Domestic). There is a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 250/- At first, everyone must pay Rs. 750 as a processing fee when applying. This processing fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the written test: Full Rs. 750 refund for women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen Rs. 500 refund for all other candidates after deducting the Rs. 250 application fee.

The selection process for the ISRO Scientist Recruitment 2025 consists of a Written exam and an Interview. The written examination will consist of Aptitude and Arithmetic Ability Test, while the interview will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written test.

  1. Written Test: Candidates must appear for the written examination, which consists of Aptitude and Arithmetic Ability Test
  2. Interview: Candidates will be selected for the interview based on their written test results. The final selection will be based on a ratio of 1:5.
  3. Candidates will be selected, 50% weightage will be given to Written Test marks, and 50% weightage to Interview marks.

Salary Structure

The selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix and will be paid a minimum basic pay of Rs. 56,100/- per month. In addition, Dearness Allowance [DA], House Rent Allowance [HRA], and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules on the subject.

The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme/Unified Pension Scheme.
