General Conditions:

  • Online applications are invited for the post to be filled up on purely temporary or contractual basis under the project at National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, Bengaluru.

  • Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible.
  • No relaxation against Unreserved (UR) vacancy.
  • Qualification and experience should be in relevant discipline/ field and from a reputed institution/ organization recognized by relevant authority. Experience shall count from the date of completion of minimum educational qualification.
  • Submission of incorrect or false information during the process of interview/ personal discussion through video conferencing shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
  • Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/ experience does not guarantee selection.
  • Above post is contractual for a period of one year, subject to satisfactory performance and requirement of the institute, the contract will be extended.
  • Age will be reckoned from the last date of receipt of application by email i.e 15-03-2021.
  • This post is purely temporary and co-terminable with the project. Employees will be engaged on consolidated pay basis.
  • The appointment will be made on the basis of results of interview / personal discussion through video conferencing mode.
  • Selected candidate will not have any right to claim for regular appointment in the Council on the basis of contract appointment.
  • Late received applications will not be considered. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview/video conferencing, no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • Incomplete applications, without photograph or without copies of relevant certificates will not be entertained. The Director, ICMR-NCDIR reserves the right to increase or decrease the no. of posts or reject the applications or cancel the notification without assigning any reason thereof.

About Us:

  • Plans, directs, develops, supports, coordinates and evaluates a national programme of cancer surveillance (electronic or otherwise) involving the collection and analysis of reliable data on magnitude and patterns of cancer so as to answer key questions about cancer incidence and mortality in different demographic and population settings
  • Plans, facilitates and supports programmes of surveillance (electronic or otherwise) of other diseases (diabetes, CVD, stroke) involving the collection and analysis of reliable data on magnitude and patterns so as to answer key questions about disease incidence and mortality in different demographic and population settings
  • Designs, undertakes and implements multi-registry/centric collaborative aetiologic research studies in-keeping with recent advances in epidemiological research
  • Evolves, coordinates and evaluates a national standardised programme on patterns of patient care and survival in different anatomical sites of cancer,
  • Plans and facilitates programmes on patterns of patient care and survival in diabetes, CVD and stroke;
    Develops human resources in use of disease data base and informatics for research with focus on multi-disciplinary approach – field, clinic, laboratory using the tool of electronic information technology; and, in the process help stimulate cross training and inter and multi – disciplinary research.
  • Will actively seek public-private partnership to fulfill any of the objectives and/or mission statements stated above and/or specific function statements outlined below.
