Result Details
The current phase of the Indian Army TES-57 Recruitment focuses on the initial screening and application acceptance. While the final merit list has not yet been declared, the selection process relies heavily on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2026. The shortlisting of applications is based on the Common Rank List (CRL) generated from the JEE (Mains) 2026 scores. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and secure a qualifying rank will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview.
The selection procedure involves multiple rigorous stages designed to assess the physical, psychological, and intellectual capabilities of the aspirants. After the SSB interview, successful candidates undergo a comprehensive medical examination. The final merit list is prepared based on the cumulative performance across all these stages. Upon successful completion of the four-year training program, engineering degrees are awarded along with the commission as a Lieutenant.
Next Stage
Following the closure of the online application window, the next significant milestone for applicants is the SSB Interview. The specific dates for the SSB Interview have not been notified yet and will be communicated to shortlisted candidates separately. Candidates are advised to monitor the official website regularly for updates regarding the interview schedule. Preparation for the SSB stage should begin immediately after submitting the application form.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to join the Indian Army through the Technical Entry Scheme must adhere to strict educational and age requirements. The educational qualification mandates that the candidate must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Education Board. A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) is required. The percentage will be considered strictly based on Class XII board marks only.

Direct shortlisting for the SSB Interview is based on the JEE (Mains) 2026 scores. Regarding age limits, candidates must be between 16½ years and 19½ years of age as on the course commencement date of 01 July 2027. Specifically, a candidate must not be born before 02 January 2008 and not after 01 January 2011, inclusive of both dates.
Marital status is another critical factor; only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. This ensures that recruits are fully committed to the demanding training regimen and service obligations associated with the Permanent Commission.
