General Instruction:

  • Applications are again invited from eligible candidates belonging to UT of Jammu and Kashmir (Jammu Division) only for engagement as Anaesthesia Technicians under ECRP (Emergency COVID Response Package) initially for a period of three (03) Months extendable up to six(06) months on Hiring Basis in lCUs and HDUs in COVID-19 institutions in UT of Jammu and Kashmir (GMC & AH Jammu).
  • The candidate should be Domicile of UT of J&K.
  • Application as per prescribed format should be deposited through registered / speed post/ personally and should reach to the office of the Personnel Officer, Associated Hospitals of Govt. Medical College Jammu by or before 10.05.2021.
  • Application form found incomplete in any manner during the scrutiny or applications shall be rejected without any prior notice to the applicant.
  • List of documentsto be attached with the application form:
    a)Essential Qualification Certificate
    bJMarks Certificate of essential qualification for all Semesters.
    c)Date of Birth Certificate
    d)Domicile Certificate
    e)Matric Marks Sheet
    f)10+2 Marks Sheet
    8)Registration certificate.
  • The candidates who have obtained degrees through Distance Education Mode from Universities recognized by the UGC as mentioned in Govt. Order No. 252 HME of 2012 dated 30-05-2012 issued by the Higher Education Department Civil Secretariat, J&K after 2005 shall have to submit a certificate from the concerned university along with application form stating that candidate had undergone the degree from their University head-quarters and not from the off-campuses which have been established by these Universities beyond their territorial jurisdiction. Application shall not be accepted in absence of this certificate.
  • Applicant found having made any incorrect or false statement, suppressing material information shall render himself/herself liable for criminal proceedings.
  • No application shall be entertained after last date of submission of application form.
  • In case of poor performance, services of the candidates are liable to be terminated.
  • The engagement will be purely on contractual basis. Initial contract for hiring shall be for three months (extendable upto 6 months) and further the extension will be subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate/approval of the post by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
  • The consolidated Honorarium Per month is inclusive of all allowances and benefits.
  • The selected candidate shall have to submit an affidavit to the effect that he/she shall not claim for any regular appointment/extension in the department in view the requirement of staff for Covid-19.
  • The selected candidate shall be allowed to join only on the production of Domicile Certificate.

  • Government Medical College, Jammu, a premier institute of J&K (Union Territory) was started in the year, 1973 in a temporary building with the object to provide quality education and deliver the health care service to the people of this region. This institution is located in the heart of Temple City Jammu. This institution was started with the aim to train fifty medical students for MBBS course per year and to serve as referral hospital for Jammu Province. But now the seating capacity has been increased upto 120 students per year, Besides MBBS course the college also imparts Post-graduate training Course.
  • From the make shift sheds of years, with meager staff and equipments, to the present day mammoth complete with chain of adequately staff and fully equipped associated hospitals, this college is now credited to the amongst a few top institution in the Northern Indian.
  • The institution started with a total of nine hundred beds and with the inauguration of Medical College Hospital building in the year of 1993, it has now increased to 1700 beds including associated hospitals including Sir. Col. R.N.Chopra Nursing Home.
  • At present, Govt. Medical College, Jammu is catering to the patients from whole of Jammu province, part of Kashmir valley and adjoining areas of neighboring states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Five Teaching Hospitals namely, Medical College Hospital, CD Hospital, SMGS Hospital, Psychiatry Hospital & Dental Hospital are associated with Medical College. There are 800 doctors including faculty and residents, 1000 Paramedical Staff including supervisory staff,1500 Class-III & IV employees working in the college and its associated hospitals.
  • Three Blocks .i.e. R.s.Pura, Kot-Bhalwal and Dansal are also affiliated to Medical College, Jammu for training of Undergraduates & Post-graduate students of the college.
  • Government Medical College, Jammu is headed by the Principal and Dean. The College Council comprises of all the Professors and Associated Professors. The Principal of Govt. Medical College is Chairman of the college council. Assistant Professors acting as HOD are Co-opted Members of the Council. Senior most Professors after the Principal is the Members Secretary. This Council serves as an advisory body to the Principal in all matters pertaining to the college. The council convenes a minimum of six sessions per year.
