General Conditions:

  • Application should be sent in neatly hand-written or typed out in A-4 size paper in the prescribed format enclosing therewith the self-attested photo copies of the educational/technical qualification and experience.

  • Selection will be on the basis of interview. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  • Experience of the candidate shall be counted only after completion of minimum Educational Qualification.

  • Original documents of educational/technical qualifications and experience shall be produced at the time of Interview.

Selection Process:

  • The stipend of Research Fellow/Associate is exempted from the payment of Income Tax under 10(16) of IT Act, 1961.
  • The JRF/SRF/RAs are eligible only for casual leave as per rule. Maternity leave as per the Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time would be applicable to female candidates.
  • No other allowances other than consolidated emoluments shall be admissible.
  • The contract is valid for a period of one year only from the date of Joining and shall be deemed ceased on the expity of one year unless extended with the consent of Competent Authority, DPCC.
  • The Contractual engagement is purely temporary and can be terminated at any time by the Competent Authority DPCC without assigning any notice of reason.
  • The contractual Fellows/Associates will be required to give one month’s notice or deposit one month’s stipend before leaving the service during the currency of the contract.
  • The contractual appointment will not confer any right for regular appointment in DPCC.

About Us:

  • Under Section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Section 6 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is empowered to perform the functions of the State Pollution Control Board for all Union Territories. However, Section 4(4) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Section 6 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 provides that CPCB may delegate all or any of its powers and functions of a State Board in a UT under the said Acts to such person or body of persons as the Central Government may specify. The CPCB has delegated all its powers and functions as a State Board in respect of the UT of Delhi to a committee of officials as specified by the Central Government in March, 1991. This committee has been reconstituted on 14th June 2002 vide notification No. B-12015/7/92-AS.

  • Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) is an autonomous regulatory body came into existence w.e.f. 01.06.1991 after Notification Dated 15.03.1991 of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which delegated all its powers and functions to DPCC, under Section 4(4) of Water Act & Section 6 of Air Act.
  • DPCC acts as a regulatory body in respect of NCT of Delhi for implementation of various Environmental / Pollution Control Laws enacted by the Parliament and notified by MOEF, Govt. of India headed by Chairman, DPCC [Secretary (Env.), Govt. of NCT of Delhi].
  • DPCC was reconstituted vide Notification Dated 14.06.2012 and Consists of 16 Members including Chairman, Member Secretary, Representatives of various Govt. Departments, Experts in the field of Environment and NGOs.
