General Conditions:
- Aspiring applicants satisfying eligibility criteria in all respect can submit their ONLINE application only. On-line application(s) will be available on AIIMS, RISHIKESH web site www.aiimsrishikesh.edu.in w.e.f 15-09-2020..10.00 hrs to 17-10-2020.. 23:59 hrs.
- Applicants must fulfill all essential eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, etc.) by last date of submission of application forms in respect to that post for which they are applying.
- Individual application and application fee is required to be submitted/remitted for each post (s) (in case of candidates applying for more than one post).
- On-line Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 23:59 hrs on 17-10-2020. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of 05 years, and in case of OBC candidates up to a maximum period of 03 years as on last date of submission of application as specified above.
- In case of Orthopedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, relaxable upto maximum period of 10 years for General Category, 13 years for OBC category and 15 years for SC/ST category candidates as on last date of submission of application as specified above.
- In case of Permanent Government Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service in the relevant field as on closing date for receipt of application, relaxable upto maximum period of 5 years.
- Relaxation in upper age limit in favour of Contractual employees of AIIMS Rishikesh considered for a period of his or her continuous service in AIIMS Rishikesh in equivalent post or up to 5 years,whichever is less, as a one-time dispensation.
- Relaxation to upper age limit in favour of Ex-servicemen will be as per Govt. of India rule.
- No documents including printed/hard copy of online application form are required to be sent by post.However, applicants are advised to keep one printed/hard copy of their application forms for submission at time of Interview.
- Candidates are required to give their preferences amongst three choices of centres. Exact centre will be given at time of issue of admit card. Effort will be made to allot centre to a candidate according to their given preferences. However, in case of non-availability of a slot at their preferred choices, closest other centres will be allotted. Decision of AIIMS, Rishikesh will be final in this regard.
- Applicants in regular employment must submit a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from employers at time of Interview.
- Candidates with valid application shall be issued call letter & admit card. These can be downloaded by candidates directly from the AIIMS, Rishikesh website www.aiimsrishikesh.edu.in by entering their Registration Number/application Number, Date of Birth. Call letters will not be sent by post. This facility would be available on website 15 days before actual date of examination.
- No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in Written Test / Skill Test / Interview.
- Period of Probation shall be of 2years.
- Director AIIMS, Risihkesh reserves rights to fill any or all of advertised posts or not to fill same without assigning any reason.

- AIIMS, Rishikesh is one of the SIX AIIMS like apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.
- These institutions are being established by an Act of Parliament on the lines of the original All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi which imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches and related fields, along with nursing and paramedical training. To bring together in one place, educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all branches of health care activity.
- The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh came into exsistence as an institute of National Importance through an Act of parliament. The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012,was passed in the Lok Sabha on August 30,2012 and in Rajya Sabha on September 4, 2012.This Act enabled the Rishikesh AIIMS to be an autonomous body on the lines of the existing AIIMS, Delhi.
- Official inauguration ceremony for Medical college of AIIMS,Rishikesh was held done on 20.09.2012. Subsequently MBBS classes with batch of 50 students were started on 21.09.2012.
- The institution will be expected to absorb talent, provide highly trained medical and paramedical manpower for the country and conduct research in national and regional health problems. The institute, outside the purview of the Medical Council of India shall be allowed to experiment with innovations in medical education and serve as advisory body for making government health policies
- Main objectives according to Director are to create an excellent academic and educational milieu for providing a platform for development of quality medical services, teaching and research. Other objectives are to achieve an epitome of quality in medical education delivery and training system and to render International standard quality patient care and health care development system.
- We aim to enhance the reputation of our country by relevant research in medical field, creating clinical excellence and social awareness in young doctors and giving bright minds of Uttrakhand a preference in participation of path breaking research and giving new dimensions to medical science.
