The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier national institution working towardsÂ strengthening Wildlife Conservation and Management through research, training andÂ education. The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, isÂ implementing the National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE)Â through national institutions which are nodal agencies for different Task Forces. WII, as the nodal agency for the Task Force on Fauna and Micro Flora has launched a 5 years projectÂ (2014-15 to 2018-2019) â€˜Assessment and Monitoring of Climate Change Effects on WildlifeÂ Species and Ecosystems for Developing Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies in the IndianÂ Himalayan Regionâ€™ under NMSHE.

Project Scientist 01 (one) Rs. 47,500 + admissible allowances including HRA
2.Project Associate* 01 (one)
PA-I Rs. 36,000
PA-II Rs. 38,000
PA-II Rs. 40,000
3.Project Assistant # 05 (five) Rs. 8,000/month + HRA
The selection of Project Scientist, Project Associate and Project Assistants will be through a written test followed by a personal interview.

Candidates who are applyingÂ for multiple projects and/or positionsshould send separate applications and fees.Â Applications should be accompanied by self-attested copies of certificates of age,Â educational qualifications, and experience. Shortlisted candidates will have to produceÂ original certificates cited in their applications at the time of written test / interview,Â without which they will be disqualified. Applications from abroad and fromÂ those in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, North Eastern Region, LadakhÂ division of the Jammu & Kashmir State, Sikkim, Panaji Sub-division of Chamba, Lahaul &Â Spiti Districts of Himachal Pradesh should reach up to 16 May 2016 by 17:00 hours.Â Applications may be sent through Registered post/Speed post/By Hand in a cover.
