General Instruction:

  • Empowering People against Hepatitis: The Empathy Campaign: The Project funded by Airports Authority of India aims to generate awareness on Hepatitis B and C across India through sustained advocacy and tailored behavior change communication for developing and promoting positive behaviors for people with hepatitis and their families.
  • All appointments under the project shall be on “contract basis” for a period of one yearand are further extendable based on performance – subject to availability of funding and project needs.
  • The candidate must satisfy him/herself of the eligibility conditions before applying. The above vacancies are subject to change and the Institute/project reserves the right whether or not to fill up any postor increase number of vacancies for any given post. No appeal will be entertained or accepted. It would not be obligatory on the part of the project/Institute to call for Interview every candidate who possesses the essential qualification and no representation in this regard will be entertained from any candidate.
  • The effective date for reckoning the requisite qualification and experience and the upper age limit will be 30May, 2021.

  • The mission of ILBS is to become a dedicated international centre of excellence for the diagnosis, management and advanced training and research in the field of liver and biliary diseases.
  • The first phase of ILBS is already functional having 180 hospital beds, 74 of which cater as intensive care (ICU) beds.
  • The second phase of ILBS, will add a dedicated multi-storie research complex, auditorium, guest-house, hepato-biliary oncology unit, additional beds and residential accommodation.
  • The ILBS aims to provide a healthy work environment to its faculty and staff.
  • ILBS is a deemed university under the UGC act and it aspires to become a unique model for an academic career both for the national and international students and the faculty.
  • The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is a mono-superspeciality hospital for liver and biliary diseases located at New Delhi, India. It has been established by the Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi as an autonomous Institute, under the Societies Registration Act – 1860, at New Delhi with Shiv Kumar Sarin as its founding director. ILBS is a teaching hospital and has been given the status of Deemed University by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. ILBS has been created by the Government of Delhi to make it a dedicated international center of excellence for the diagnosis and management of liver and biliary diseases and to provide advanced training and research in the field of Hepato-biliary Sciences.
  • The foundation stone of ILBS was laid in 2003. The first phase of ILBS was built by the Public Works Department (PWD). The first phase was completed in 2009. The formal inauguration of the hospital took place on 14 January 2010 by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs. Shiela Dixit.
  • ILBS is an education which is focused on Liver and Biliary Sciences, however, Nephrology an important sister branch of the hospital. The various other specialties provided by the hospital are support based Oncology, and Cardiology, along with other liver related specialties like Pediatric Hepatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Renal Transplant, Urology and Radiology.In the coronavirus pandemic, the institute was the pioneer in starting convalescent plasma therapy for treating serious coronavirus patients in Delhi under the supervision of Dr Sarin.
  • Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences ranked 11th among medical colleges in India in 2020 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework medical ranking for 2020.
