General Information:

  • The Directorate of Higher Education, Education Department, Government of Sikkim invites application in a prescribed format from the local eligible candidates for filling up of the posts of Assistant Professors on Ad-hoc capacity in the subjects mentioned below on a consolidated pay of Rs.30,000/- pm for the Academic Session 2020- 21.
  • Age Limit: Should not be more than 40 years of age as on 31.04.2021
  • Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the merit of the marks obtained in the interview.
  • Masters Degree in concerned subjects with minimum of 50% at Masters Degree Level for ST/SC/Differently abled (physically & visually) candidates and 55% for candidates belonging to general categories.
  • NET/SLET/Ph.D. Compulsory for all the subjects
  • Application in a prescribed form along with Admit Card which can be downloaded from Departmental webportal www.sikkimhrdd.org. and should be submitted in Room No. 512 of Education Department.
  • Last date of submission of application form 26th April till 3:00 pm.
  • No application will be accepted after the due date.
  • Issue of Admit Card :28th April Date of interview : 29th April

  • Applicants must bring all the original documents at the time of submission of applications form for scrutiny.

  • This appointment is temporary in nature and purely on ad-hoc basis and till the end of academic session 2920-21 or till the appointment of regular candidate, whichever is earlier. They shall not confer any right to regularization later on.
  • No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
