Educational Qualification:
12th pass with Science subject and DMLT,Intermediate OR 12th with speed test of minimum 15000 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer.

General Condition:
- Candidate will be allowed for the personal interview after screening of eligibility and document verification.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be as per the government rules.
- Qualification/degree should be from a reputed Institution/University.
- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
- Departmental candidates or candidates working/have worked on projects of ICMR Institutes/Centre’s shall be given age relaxation to a maximum of five (5) years or a completed months/year based on earlier project service, whichever is less, they meet the essential qualification prescribed for the post, with a view to provide them opportunity to compete with other candidates.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- No TA/DA will he paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
- Applicants of Contract Data Entry Operator have to attend for Typing test at the Institute.
- The above said posts are Contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and
requirement. - The Director, ICMR-NITM reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment or re-advertise the posts, without assigning any reasons thereof, no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

- ICMR-NITM is one of the younger institutions of the ICMR family that is engaged in leveraging the knowledge of Traditional Medicines (TM) in the development of cost-effective healthcare.
- NITM is envisaged as the lead ICMR institute for research on TM. The strength of NITM is its strategic location at the foothills of the Western Ghats with rich medicinal plant resources, a young team of researchers from various fields, and an excellent network of committed and networked collaborators. NITM utilizes modern scientific knowledge and technology to validate traditional medicinal practices in its attempt to bridge the gap between traditional systems and modern medicine
- Situated at Belagavi in Karnataka, the ICMR-National Institute of Traditional Medicine (Formerly known as RMRC Belagavi) conducts research on traditional and herbal medicines and on diseases of local health importance.
- To positively influence public health outcomes in India through integration with traditional medicine
- RESEARCH: To develop evidence-based, affordable, traditional medicine solutions for most common public health concerns.
DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES: Create a cadre of integrative health care researchers and professionals. Develop programs and content for assimilation and application of validated traditional knowledge for the public.
OUTREACH: To deliver scalable and sustainable applications in community settings through partnerships with NGOs, Government Organizations, and the private sector. We research, promote, and facilitate policy development. - During the Sixth Five Year Plan Period (1980-85), the concept of Regional Medical Research Centres was evolved in the ICMR, under which a few Centres were to be established in different regions of the country to undertake research into the health problems of the respective regions. This was in contrast to the mandates of the existing institutions of the ICMR, which were essentially oriented towards a single disease or a group of related diseases/health problems. The idea was that the RMRCs would address issues of local/regional relevance, as the health problems of one region are vastly different from those of another on account of demographic characteristics; geographical, climatic, and other environmental influences; literacy levels; socio-economic development, etc. The Governing Body of the ICMR approved, in principle, the establishment of RMRCs at Bhubaneswar (Orissa), Dibrugarh (Assam), Port Blair (Andaman & Nicobar Islands); Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), and Bangalore (now Bengaluru).
