General Instruction:

  • There will be walk-in —interview for vacant posts of Senior Resident (Hospital Services) in the following Department for a Short-Term appointment for a period of 89 days. The details are as under: Date: 09.03.2021 Time: 11.30 AM Venue: Microbiology, C Block, 2″d Floor
  • Subject to vacancy available a maximum of 2 terms of 89 days is permissible to a selected person. The ad-hoc vacancy is to be advertised for a regular selection in the next semi-annual, All India Entrance Exam, scheduled in year 2021.
  • Age: Maximum age limit 37 years as to be reckoned on the date of interview. Age relaxation to the maximum of 05 years may be given SC/ST/OBC candidates as per U.P. Govt. rules.
  • Pay & allowance: Level-11 of pay matrix with entry pay of Rs.67,700/- Allowance will be admissible as per Institute’s rules.
  • Candidates who have already completed three years Senior Residency may not be considered for the appointment.
  • No TA/DA will be given for attending interview.
  • Director reserves the absolute discretion to cancel the advertisement in part or whole. without assigning any reasons.
  • The candidates must bring following document for submission:
    a)A bank draft of Rs.200/- (rupees two hundred only) in favour of “Director SGPG1, Academic Account” payable at SBI, SGPGI Branch, Lucknow.
    c)Six recent passport size photographs.
    d)Xerox copies of all relevant certificate and testimonials.
    e)Candidate will also bring original documents for verification.
  • Suitable candidates after verification of eligibility will be allowed to appear in the walkin Interview.
  • Candidates may come to this Walk-In-Interview on 09-03-2021 (9 AM) along with attested copies and originals of all certificates from class 10th onwards along with biodata, proof of date of birth, one passport size photo, NOC from present employer, if any to the Interview at given Venue.
  • All related certificates of age, qualification and experience must be carried at the time of Interview.

  • Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences is a medical Institute under State Legislature Act, located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1983 and is named after Sanjay Gandhi.
  • The institute is on a 550 acres (2.2 km2) residential campus at Raebareli Road, 15 km from the main city. The institute offers its own degrees, which are recognised by the Medical Council of India. It delivers tertiary medical care, super-specialty teaching, training and research. It offers DM, MCh, MD, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellowships, postdoctoral certificate courses, senior residency along with degree courses in nursing and paramedical like B.Sc. Nursing (4-year) course. College of nursing, takes about 40 students every year through the all India and level examination.
  • The institute offers postgraduate medical training and a working hospital that provides inexpensive medical care. It is a tertiary care referral hospital that caters to patients referred from not only the whole of Uttar Pradesh, neighboring states such as Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Orissa, West Bengal, but almost whole of India and neighboring countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and middle Eastern countries.   • This autonomous institute is a University established under a constitutional act.   • The institute offers DM/MCh/PDF/PDCC/and senior residency (hospital services) training programs in various specialties. The institute runs doctorate of medicine), M.Ch. (Magister Chirurgi), and MD (Doctor of Medicine) programs, training residents in surgical and medical super specialty and specialty fields. It also runs Ph.D. programs for basic science research and Bsc Nursing 4 years course.
  • It pioneered the 3 year DM/MCh program at a time when the typical course was two years before MCI mandated that all such training programs should be three years duration. It was the first Indian institution to start DM courses in clinical immunology, medical Genetics and MCh in endocrine surgery.
