The recruitment drive is for a total of 258 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade Il/ Tech posts, which includes both Computer Science & Information and Technology and Electronics & Communication streams.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have achieved qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2023 or 2024 or 2025 in Electronics & Communication (GATE code: EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (GATE code: CS) along with a B.E or B.Tech in the fields of:

- Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication or Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Science with Electronics or Computer Science or Physics with Electronics or Electronics & Communication; or Master’s Degree in Computer Applications from a Government recognized University/ College/ Institute.
Age Limit (as on 16-11-2025): Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years, Maximum Age limit: 27 Years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
All candidates are required to pay a Recruitment Processing Charge of Rs. 100/- and Examination Fee of Rs. 200/-. Male candidates of UR, EWS, and OBC categories will also have to pay an additional Examination Fee of Rs. 100.

Selection Process
Candidates who will be shortlisted based on their GATE score card (qualifying cut-off marks) of 2023 or 2024 or 2025, will be called for Skill Test and Interview. The selection process includes:
- GATE Examination
- Skill Test – Practical based and technical in nature
- Interview – Assessing traits on two parameters: Subject knowledge in relevant fields & Communication skills.
The final merit list for the post will be prepared in accordance with the number of vacancies. A waiting list will also be prepared to provide replacement in future, as per DoPT OM No. 41019/18/97-Estt. (B) dated 13.06.2000.
