  • Bachelor Degree in Economics or Commerce or Statistics or Business Studies or Public Administration as a subject from a recognised University or Institute.
  • Diploma in Material Management or Warehousing Management or Purchasing or Logistics Public procurement from recognized University or Insitute.
  • Take print out of Application Form, put signature at designated places and send it along with self-attested copies of testimonials / certificates in support of Date of Birth, Category, Educational and Professional qualification, Experience etc. through Ordinary post only to the given address before the due date of 11-02-2019 .
  • Two years experience in handling stores and keeping accounts in store or a concern of Central Government or State Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organisation or Public Sector Undertaking or University or any recognised Institution or Bank or in a private sector organisation listed on the Stock Exchange of India.
  • Not exceeding 30 years. (Relaxable for Government Servants upto 05 years’ in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government).
  • General Central Service Group Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in Level-4 in the Pay Matrix of Rs. 25500/-.
  • Two years experience in handling of Stores in any recognised firm or Central or State Govt organisation or Public Sector Undertakings.
  • Bachelor Degree with Commerce or Economics or Statistics or Business Studies or Public Administration as a subject from a recognised University or Institute.
  • One year experience in handling Stores from any firm or Central or State Government Organisation or Public Sector Undertakings.
  • Age Limit. 18 to 25 years. (Relaxable for Government Servants upto 40 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government).
  • Written Test. Short listed candidates will undergo a written test on the basis of educational qualifications prescribed for the post. The syllabus for written examination consists of General Knowledge, Arithmetic, General English, Mental Ability and experience related to the respective post.

Vacancy Notice Foreman & Store Keeper Vacancy – Indian Coast Guard

  • The State Emblem, which is an adaptation from the Sarnath Lion dating back to the time of Emperor Ashoka (273 – 232 B.C.) is on the top of the Crest of the Indian Coast Guard. The original statue has four lions, standing back to back mounted on an abacus with a frieze carrying sculptures in high relief of an elephant, a galloping horse, a bull and a lion separated by intervening wheels. The National Motto “Satyamev Jayate” meaning “Truth Alone Triumphs” is inscribed below the Ashoka emblem in gold. The Lion capital itself is surmounted by a “Chakra” (Wheel), which is the symbol of the Sun manifested as time. The Ashoka Capital is within a lifebuoy in white (depicting safety at sea),which enclosed the words “Bharatiya Tatrakshak” in Devanagri script. Two anchors are placed below the lifebuoy and the helicopter rotor on top (all three in blue) depicting the maritime service with an air arm. The scroll placed below has words inscribed in Sanskrit,”VAYAM RAKSHAMAH”, meaning “We Protect”. The Five cornered Star at the base of the Lifebuoy is synonym with the Coast Guard. One corner of the star point upward, two grounded and two stretching on both sides indicating omnipresence of Coast Guard at Sea.
  • Safety and Protection of Artificial Islands and Offshore Terminals
    Coast Guard ships and aircraft undertake regular patrols to keep the Offshore Development Areas (ODAs), on both the Eastern and Western seaboard under surveillance.
  • The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centers (MRCCs) co-located with RHQs, coordinate the Search and Rescue (SAR) efforts undertaken by Coast Guard units. Effective liaison is also maintained with the concerned state government departments for expeditious launch of SAR missions and their successful culmination.
  • Dornier 228 is a twin engine turboprop, highly versatile multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft manufactured by M/s HAL for the Indian Coast Guard. The aircraft is lightweight with wide range of operating speeds and fuel efficient uniqueness. This high winged aircraft is operated by ICG in two variant in 228 – 100 and 228 – 200 series.
  • Indian Coast Guard operates in complex environment at sea and in the air. It operates various types of ships, craft and aircraft. The operational aspects, maintenance and administrative fronts pose challenges that can only be met with professionally trained manpower. All the manpower of the service; officers and enrolled personnel are professionally trained in their respective domain.
  • Indian Coast Guard’s ab-initio, downstream and specialized training is carried out mostly at various Naval training establishments. After completion of the training, the trained manpower assumes their respective roles to undertake the Coast Guard charter of duties.
  • The Officers training commences at Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, where Naval Orientation is conducted for a duration of 22 weeks. This training is common in respect of all the Officers [General Duty(GD), Techinacal, Pilot Navigator (P/N), Short Service Appointment (SSA) and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) entry-gentleman and women]. The training at Indian Naval Academy is conducted for two batches in a year.
  • On completion of the Naval Orientation Course, GD Officers are deputed for afloat training for 12 weeks. This is followed by Seamanship Board and technical courses at various Naval Training Establishment for 47 weeks. On completion, they undergo watch keeping certification for 24 weeks followed by appointment onboard ships. P/N officers go for pre-flying training and flying training with Navy, Air Force or private flying clubs.
  • CPL entry Officers (gentlemen and women) undergo technical courses of 03 weeks followed by conversion courses for fixed/rotary wings. Women Officers undergo technical courses for 23 weeks and do On Job Training (OJT) at various Coast Guard Regional Headquarters/units. Technical Officers (Engineers/Electrical) are deputed for respective training and technical courses. They undergo watch keeping certification onboard ships.
