Good academic record with at least 55% marks at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University and must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

General Information:

  • The eligible candidates will have to appear in an lnterview/VivaVoce test to be conducted by the Commission at ltanagar or any other place, which may be decided by the Commission.
  • Online applications are invited from citizens of lndia for filling up of 25(twenty five) posts of Assistant Professor under Rashtriya Uchchatar Sikhsha Abhiyan in the pay matrix level-l0 of Rs. 57,700 – L,82,4001- per month plus other allowances as admissible to Arunachal Pradesh Govt. Employees from time to time. Vacancy position is subject to variation
  • Candidates appearing for post of Assistant Professor must not be above 37 years of age as on 72-03-2079. However, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for APST and another 5 years for Arunachal Pradesh Govt. employees
  • Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an lndian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. However, there is a relaxation of 5% marks that is from 55% to 5O% marks at Masters Degree level for the ST/SC candidates
  • The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
  • Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET or recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in U niversities/Col leges/l nstitutio ns.
  • The State lnformation Officer, NlC, A.P. Sectt. ltanagar with a request to upload the Advertisement with Application Form and Attendance Sheet in the Commission’s Website www,appsc.gov.in please.
  • The Editor, Eastern Sentinel, ltanagar with a request to publish the advertisement of 8 sized font in one issue of their paper. There should be Ashoka Emblem on the top left corner of the advertisement. The bill in triplicate with a copy of the advertisement published may be sent to the undersigned for payment

  • The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is a Constitutional body constituted with effect from 1st April 1988 under Article-315 of the Constitution of India vide Notification OM-15/88 dated 29th March 1988. The Commission advice the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on all matters relating to state civil services and publish notifications inviting applications for selection to various posts as per the requisitions of the appointing authorities, conduct written tests and interview, prepare ranked list based on the performance of the candidates and advice candidates for appointing strictly based on their merit and observing the rules of reservation as and when vacancies are reported.
  • The Commission is presently housed in the state govt. building located near Vidhan Vihar, Itanagar.
