General Instructions:

  • The candidate should not furnish any false, tampered, fabricated information or suppress any material information while filling up the application form.
  • Candidates called for verification of certificates will be required to furnish documentary proof (Originals) in evidence of the following as and when called for. “If the particulars furnished in the Online Application Form do not tally with the Original documents produced by the Candidates, his/her candidature will be reJected.
  • Age: Proof of age as recorded in SSC certificate or equivalent.
  • Qualification of degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a central Act. Provincial Act or a State Act or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto.
  • Permanent Community Certificate issued by MRO in original or Original Caste Certificate issued by Revenue Officer not less than the rank of MRO issued on or after 01-07-2018 in respect of SC/ST & BC candidates clearly indicating the Sub-Caste and group (Proforma in Annexure-II).
  • Physically Handicapped (i.e. Orthopedically Handicapped) certificate indicating the minimum 40% of disability issued by District Medical Board.
  • Study Certificate or Residence Certificate issued by the Officer of the Revenue Department not below the rank of Tahsildar in independent charge of Mandal as the case may be. (Proforma in Annexure -III & IV).
  • N.O.C from the employer (if already working in any organization). (iii)Candidates will be required to appear for written test as and when conducted at their own cost.
  • Admission for written test or calling the qualified candidates in the written test to furnish documentary proof does not confer any right for appointment.
  • The decision of the Selection Committee/APEPDCL is final in selection and allotment of candidates.
  • Disqualification:- Conviction in Criminal Cases involving moral turpitude, declared insolvent.
  • Physical Fitness certificate issued by a Medical Officer of the rank not less than that of Civil Surgeon in the prescribed proforma to be submitted at the time of joining.
  • The APEPDCL reserves the right to cancel the Notification/Recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reasons.
  • The candidates belong to Visually Handicapped and Hearing Handicapped need not apply for the post and their candidature will not be considered, as the post involves technical or hazardous nature of duties and the Inter Departmental Committee, Women Development, Child Welfare & Disabled Welfare (DW) Department, Government of AP has agreed to interchange the category of Visually Handicapped and Hearing Handicapped to Orthopedically Handicapped for the posts which involve technical or hazardous nature of duties. The Orthopedically Handicapped may apply for the post, if their disability is equal to 40% or above.
  • Mere securing minimum qualifying marks doesn’t vest any right to a candidate for being called for verification of original certificates and b y mere calling the candidate for certificate verification in the ratio 1:2 doesn’t vest any right to a candidate for selection.

About Us:

  • A key element in the reform process is that the Government shall withdraw from its earlier role as a regulator of the industry and shall limit its role to one of policy formulation and providing policy directions.
  • In order to provide a legal framework for the reform initiatives, the Government introduced the A.P. Electricity reform bill in the assembly and the same was passed on 28th April 1998. The A.P. Electricity reform act 1998, became effective from 1st February 1999. As envisaged in the act, the vertically integrated monolithic APSEB has been unbundled in to two separate companies, namely Transmission Corporation of A.P. Limited (AP TRANSCO) and Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) and have become operational from 1st February 1999.
  • The Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APEPDCL) has been formed as a successor entity of the erstwhile APSEB through the second statutory transfer scheme, which was notified in the official gazette of the Government of Andhra Pradesh on March 31,2000 (the second transfer scheme) to, inter-alia, separate the then existing Transmission and Bulk Supply undertaking and business of AP Transco from the then existing Distribution and Retail Supply undertaking and business of AP Transco.
  • APEPDCL is a Government Company i.e. wholly owned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Board of Directors of APEPDCL as on 11.04.2018 comprises of Six (6) Directors including two (2) Government Representative Directors and One Independent Woman Director, who were nominated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
