General Information:

  • Candidates may apply for 10th or 11th I.R. Battalion indicating their preference in prescribed application form which will be available at all the offices of Superintendents of Police of the concerned districts on payment of Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred) only per form. The form is to be filled up by the candidate himself in legible hand writing. However, the Police Department reserves the right to allot the successful candidates to either of the battalions/units.
  • While submitting the application form, the candidate must ensure to enclose self attested certificate copies of educational qualifications, date of birth, ST/SC,OBC, NCC, Sports, etc.
  • Candidates should bring original certificates of educational qualification, NCC Training, Sports, Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste/OBC Certificate at the time of coming for the Physical Efficiency Test and also subsequently as required by the DPC. Ex-servicemen candidates should bring their discharge certificates in original.
  • Candidates belonging to a District will submit the application form to the concerned Employment Exchange by 03/01/2019. Application submitted after the expiry of the last date of submission will not be entertained. For Pherzawl,Kamjong, Kakching, Tengoupal and Noney districts, they are to submit it to the Employment Exchanges of Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Thoubal, Moreh and Tamenglong respectively.
  • Candidates hailing from neighboring States may send their applications to the Dy. Inspector General of Police(HQ/Adm), PHQ, Imphal, Pin –795001, Manipur in the following proforma along with Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred) only (non-refundable) drawn in favour of Dy.Inspector General of Police(HQ/Adm), Manipur, latest by 05/01/2019 Proforma : (1) Name (2) Father’s name (3) Present address (4) Permanent address (5) State, District and Police Station (6) Date of birth (7) Age as on 01/01/2019 (8) Educational qualification (9) Whether belonging to SC/ST/OBC (10) NCC experience, if any (11) Proficiency in sports, if any (12) Post applied for (13) Physical measurement : Height ; Weight ; Chest (Normal)/(Expanded) (14) Employment Exchange Registration No. (15) Identification marks (16) Signature of the applicant (17) Left thumb impression of the applicant. The proforma should be sent along with (a) One self attested recent passport size photograph of the candidate should be pasted on the form (not to be pinned). Half the signature to be on the photograph and half on the Form; (b) One self attested recent passport size photograph of the candidate should be attached/pinned to the application form and the name of the candidate should be written in ink, on the back side of the said photograph; (c) Self attested/photo copies of Certificates.Any application which is incomplete or received after 05/01/2019 will not be entertained in any case. Application submitted by post is to be sent to the following address : Dy. Inspector General of Police (HQ/Adm), Police Headquarters, Manipur, Imphal-795001. The Department will not be responsible for postal delay, if any. No formal call will be served/ sent to the candidates for the recruitment tests. The candidates are to be present at the 2 nd Bn. Manipur Rifles at 0730 hrs on 11/02/2019 along with their Original Certificates of educational qualification, date of birth, sports, ST/SC/OBC, etc. Candidates are advised to keep 3(three) copies of the same passport size photographs affixed in the form for use in any future requirement. No TA/DA will be paid by the Department. The candidates should come for the recruitment at their own arrangement and expenses.
  • The undersigned reserves the right to change the above schedule in case of unavoidable reasons with due intimation through media and notification.
  • Any candidate who uses unfair means, including outside pressure will be disqualified.
  • All District SsP, Manipur- The prescribed application forms (copy enclosed) should be printed in sufficient number for issue to the intending candidates. The Application Forms are to be allotted with distinctive Sl. Nos. and issued to the willing candidates on payment of Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred) per form. Thereafter a list of candidates sponsored by the Employment Exchange is to be prepared and submitted in the prescribed proforma in quadruplicate to PHQ on or before 07/01/2019 without fail. Applications submitted after the expiry of last date of submission of forms will not be entertained in any case.

  • All Commandants of Manipur Rifles including (IR Bns.)/Home Guard (VA),Manipur.
  • The Director of Information and Public Relations, Government of Manipur, Imphal – Is requested to communicate the gist of the above Notification to the Local Press as news item of the Employment News and also announce it for the information and benefit of the general public and also mention that no application will be accepted after the last date for submission in any case.
  • The Station Director, All India Radio, Imphal – Is requested to include the gist of the above information in the Employment Bulletin for 5 (five) consecutive days for the benefit of the general public and also mentioned that no application will be accepted after the last date for submission in any case.
  • All District Employment Exchange Officers – They are requested to submit the list of eligible candidates along with their applications in the prescribed form to the District Superintendents of Police concerned on or before 05/01/2019. No application will be accepted after last date for submission in any case.
  • Selection will comprise Physical Efficiency Test (40 marks) follow by written test (40 marks) and Viva Voce (20 marks). Candidates first have to go Physical Efficiency Test, which have 100 meters race, Broad Jump, High Jump and 800 meters race. Candidates declared to be qualified in the PET will be allowed to appear for the written tests. Written test will consist of Dictation of 80 words in either English or Manipuri or Hindi. Candidates declared to be qualified in both the PET and written tests will appear for the Viva-Voce test. Final selection of candidates will be on the basis of cumulative total marks obtained in Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test and Viva Voce.
