General Information:

  • Applications in the MBOSE prescribed format are invited from the citizens of India for recruitment to the posts specified in the table below. Prescribed format can be bought from MBOSE Office, Tura/ Shillong @ Rs. 10 /- (Rupees Ten) only per form and can also be downloaded from MBOSE Official website, www.mbose.in.
  • The date of birth to be accepted by the Board is as entered in the Matriculation/ Secondary School Leaving Certificate from any recognised University. Proof other than these, will not be accepted by the Board.
  • Prescribed application format is available in MBOSE Office, Tura/ Shillong. Form can also be downloaded from the MBOSE Official website, www.mbose.in.
  • Candidates are required to clearly indicate both Division and Percentage of marks in the column captioned “Division/ Percentage”.
  • The following documents are to be attached along with the application
    form. a) Recent self attested passport size photograph (2 Copies). b) Bank Deposit Challan.
  • Candidates must appear for the Written Test/ Interview at his/ her own expenses.
  • All candidates applying shall be allowed to appear for preliminary written examinations provisionally. Those passing the Preliminary written examinations shall be provisionally allowed to appear for Practical Examination. Scrutiny of the application alongwith the candidate’s original documents will be undertaken before the Practical Examination/ Personal Interview for those candidates who clear the Written Examinations. Candidates are advised to go through the requirement of educational qualifications, age and ensure that they are eligible for the post that they are applying for. If any claim made in the application is not found substantiated or if any discrepancies in the original documents as submitted by the candidate is found/detected, the candidature will be cancelled and the Board’s decision will be final.
  • Candidates should make sure of their eligibility to the post applied for and the declaration made by them in the prescribed format is correct in all respect. Any candidate found to furnish incorrect/false information or make false declaration regarding his/her eligibility at any stage or suppress any information is liable TO BE DEBARRED AND DECLARED NULL AND VOID BY THE BOARD.
  • If any candidate is or has been found impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or resorting to any other irregular or improper means in any connection with his/ her candidature for selection or obtaining support of candidature by any means, such a candidate shall be liable to criminal prosecution.
  • Candidates are not required to submit their Educational Qualification Certificates along with the Application Form).
  • Candidates should submit their application form in the following centres, as shown below: (i) Office Counter of MBOSE, Tura (ii) MBOSE Regional office, Shillong and (iii) MBOSE Cell, Jowai on any working day between 10:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m till the last date.
  • Application can also be sent by registered post so as to reach the Board’s office at Tura / Shillong / Jowai on or before 20.07.2019 till 5:00 p.m. MBOSE will not be responsible for the applications received by post after deadline.
  • A fee of Rs. 200 /- (Rupees Two Hundred) only is required to be paid on submission of Application Form. This amount may be paid either by depositing to Meghalaya Board of School Education, Accounts Branch, Tura/ Shillong or by depositing to Meghalaya Board of School Education A/C NO 36743928890 (SBI New Tura) in favour of the Executive Chairman, MBOSE, Tura in any State Bank of India and Counter-foil of deposit to be attached along with the application. A fee of Rs. 200 plus (+) Rs. 10 shall have to be paid for candidates
    submitting the application with downloaded forms.

Vacancy Notice 13 Lower Division Assistant Cum-Computer Operator Vacancy – MBOSE,Meghalaya

  • The legislation for the setting up of the Meghalaya Board of School Education to regulate, supervise and control school education in the State of Meghalaya came into force on 25th September, 1973 under the Meghalaya Board of School Education Act, 1973 (Meghalaya Act 10, 1973). The Board was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Late Captain W. A. Sangma on 19th October, 1973 in the State Central Library Auditorium, Shillong.
  • Shri Uma Kanta Sharma, Director of Public Instruction was the first Chairman of the Meghalaya Board of School Educatrion (MBOSE). Pending the appointment of a regular Secretary, Shri K. C. Chetia, Joint Director of Public Instruction, Meghalaya, took over as the first Secretary of MBOSE.
  • The Board under the able guidance and administration of Shri Deka, supported by only a skeleton staff, successfully conducted the first High School Leaving Certificate Examination, 1973, under the new Board, the results of which were announced in the first part of 1974.
  • In 1974, as per the decision of the Meghalaya Government, the Board was shifted to Tura and it started functioning in the Industrial Training Institute building at Araimile, Tura. Then in 1975, during the Chairmanship of Shri V.S. Jafa, I.A.S., DPI, the Board Office was shifted from the I.T.I. building to the Government Boys’ Multi Purpose School Boys’ Hostel at Tura Chandmary.
    When Shri K.C. Deka returned to his parent department on the completion of his deputation, Shri S.C. Saha, Principal of the Government M. P. School, Tura, who was on deputation to the Board with effect from 19th January, 1976
