General Instruction:

  • Army Recruitment Rally under the aegis of Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Chennai will be conducted by Recruiting Office (Headquarters), Chennai from 15 Apr 2020 to 25 Apr 2020 at Arunai Engineering College Stadium, Tiruvannamalai (T.N) to enroll eligible candidates into the Army from eleven districts of Tamilnadu viz Cuddalore, Vellore, Tirupathur, Ranipet Tiruvannamalai,
    Chennai, Tiruvallur, Vilupuram, Kallakurichi, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Puducherry Dist of Puducherry (UT) in Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant/ Soldier Nursing Assistant Veterinary, Soldier Clerk and Store Keeper Technical, Soldier General Duty and Soldier Tradesman categories. Candidates will have to apply online only, on the official web site www.joinindianarmy.nic.in from 01 Mar 2020 to 30 Mar 2020. Admit card will be issued online after 31 Mar 2020. Candidates are requested to bring their admit card, application and documents mentioned in the admit card at the rally site. Date and time of reporting at rally site will be mentioned on admit card. Print out of admit card can be taken after 31 Mar 2020 from www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates are advised to carry their Admit Card and documents in water proof transparent document sleeves/sheet protection to cater for guard against damage due to
    inclement weather.
  • Candidates who are below 18 years of age will have to bring their parents consent certificate. Format of Affidavit on Non Judicial Stamp Paper is attached to this notification as paragraph 1(e) of Appendix A.
  • Sportsmen who have represented India at International level and State at National level within last two years. For list of sports under which relaxation in physical standards is admissible, attention is invited to www.joinindianarmy.nic.in website.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates who have passed class 10th with GPA/Grade system to carry their mark sheet showing marks in figure obtained from respective board. Candidate not carrying mark sheet in figures will be disqualified in documentation.
  • The candidates should be medically fit to join Indian Army at the time of Rally.The Medical Standards have been uploaded on the website
  • Tatoo/Engraving. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from further selection. Tribals with tattoo marks on the face or body as per existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis. The guidelines on dealing with such cases are as under
  • Candidates belonging to Tribal communities/from tribal areas, as declared by the Govt of India scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders Act/Lists (amended and modified from time to time) are permitted to have permanent body tattoos on any part of the body, as per existing customs and traditions of the said tribe to which a candidate belongs. Such candidates will only be permitted on producing the following two certificates
  • Self certification certificate as per Appendix ‘D’ to be signed by the candidate.
  • Certificate of belonging to a tribal community and permissibility of permanent body Tattoo(s) as per format at Appendix ‘E’ to be signed by either DC/DM or SDM of the District/Tehsil where the tribe of the candidate is presently settled (Name and designation of the concerned official must be clearly mentioned) or signed by Chairman/Secretary or any other senior member of the Tribe (Name, designation if any and address of the concerned member will be clearly mentioned).
  • All candidates are required to register themselves online on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and apply online wef 01 Mar 2020 to 30 Mar 2020. Kindly read instructions for registration and filling application forms as given on the www.joinindianarmy.nic.in website.
