Eligibility Criteria
To ensure a fair and competitive selection process, BARC has set stringent eligibility criteria for the JRF-2026 program. Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and additional requirements:

For Science Disciplines (Physical, Chemical, Life, Geological Sciences):
- Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4-year program) with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) may also apply for relevant disciplines.
- Applicants must have qualified in GATE-2026 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or an equivalent national-level examination. A link for uploading GATE scores will be provided later.

- B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST).

2. Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years as of the last date of application (April 10, 2026). Age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India rules:
