1. Educational and Professional Qualifications

The eligibility criteria vary based on the candidate’s background. Below are the detailed requirements for each category:

For Retired Scientists:

  • Must have served as a Scientist ‘D’ or above in DRDO or equivalent positions in other defence research organizations (e.g., ISRO, DAE, HAL, etc.).
  • Should possess a Ph.D. in Engineering, Technology, or Applied Sciences from a recognized university or institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years of research experience in defence-related technologies, with a proven track record of contributions to R&D projects.
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals or patents in defence technologies will be an added advantage.

For Retired Service Officers:

  • Must have retired from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard at the rank of Colonel (or equivalent) and above.
