Examination Notice No. 11/2010-GEOL
The Union Public Service commission will hold the Geologists’ Examination 2010 commencing from 4th December, 2010 for recruitment to Geologist (Junior), Group A and Assistant Geologist Grade-I, Group B in the Geological Survey of India and Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A in the Central Ground Water Board. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.
Eligibility:
Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2010. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government. of India rules.
Qualification:
A candidate must hold
(i) Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or
(ii) Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration or
(iii) Master’s Degree in Hydrology or
(iv) Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
How To Apply:
The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Ooffices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees. All applicants must reach the “Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069″ either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by Courier, on or before 19/07/2010
