Job or Vacancy Description:
Technicians (Process)/Process Operators on Consolidated salary – for 2 years (for shift working)

Technicians(Process)/Process Operators: 52 Posts (SC-09,ST-06,OBC-12,Gen-25)

Qualification & Experience :Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Engg and 2 years experience in the operation of a large Fertilizer / Chemical / Petrochemical Plant. Successfully completed Apprenticeship training in FACT under Technician Apprenticeship will be treated as experience.

Pay: Rs.Initial appointment will be on consolidated pay of Rs. 9,500/- pm during 1st year, Rs. 10,500/- pm. during 2nd year.

Age: Maximum age limit will be 35 years as on 01.10.2011. Relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per rules in this regard. Further age is relaxable to all categories to the extent of apprenticeship in FACT for ex-apprentices of FACT.

How to apply :  Interested candidates may apply in the prescribed application format attached. The downloaded application form shall be duly filled, signed and sent to CHIEF MANAGER(HR)-E, H R DEPARTMENT, FACT-FEDO BUILDING,UDYOGAMANDAL-683501 so as to reach on or before 11.11.2011. Candidates are requested to send copies of proof of age, Qualification, caste in the case of SC/ST/OBC(certificate issued by an officer not below the rank of Tahsildar), and experience etc along with the application. All copies furnished with the application shall be attested by a Gazetted officer.

General Instructions:
1. Further age relaxation as per rules to PWD and Ex-servicemen candidates. Since the posts under Serial No’s 1, 3, & 4 involve shift duty, women are not eligible to apply.
2. Minimum experience wherever prescribed will be relaxed at the discretion of the Management keeping in view the availability of suitable SC/ST candidates and such candidates who do not possess the required experience will have to undergo on-the-job- Training on a lower consolidated pay to make up the required experience. They will be considered for regular appointment only on successful completion of the prescribed training and based on further Interview.

5. The candidate’s passport size photograph shall be firmly fixed in the space provided on the down loaded application form. SC & ST candidates attending interview from outstations will be reimbursed second class Rail/Bus to and fro fare by shortest route from place of work/residence, on production of receipt/proof of travel.

About the organization :
The Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (FACT), Government of India Undertaking, requires Sulphuric Acid about 1,00,000 MT of Sulphuric Acid per annum. Procurements will be in bulk shipments of about 8,000 to 9,000 MT+/- 5% each. Applications are invited for pre-qualification of vendors for supply of Sulphuric Acid.
