Applications on prescribed proforma along with attested photocopies of all relevantdocuments and non refundable application fee of Rs.100/- (Rs.25/- in case of SC candidate(s)) by meansof Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director Principal, GMCH, payable at Chandigarh and a recentpassport size photograph, are invited for filling up of following posts :
1. Senior Resident : 72 posts
2. Resident Anaesthetist : 05 posts
3. Resident Pathologist : 02 posts
4. Casualty Medical Officer (General Medicine) : 01 post
5. Casualty Medical Officer (General Surgery) : 01 post
6. Demonstrator : 22 posts
7. Medical Officer (MO) / Lady Medical Officer (LMO) : 02 posts
How to apply : The candidates should fill his/her Application Form available on the GMCH website. He/she should fill all thefields in the form. No field should be left blank. After filling up application form, the candidate should take outa print of challan form (triplicate) and deposit the application fee on next working day in any Branch of StateBank of India as detailed in the under mentioned column
How to Apply : The application format along with other information regarding qualification, experience, payscales, age, reservation etc. can be obtained from the office of Establishment Branch-II, Block-D, Level-II, Hospital Building, GMCH-32, Chandigarh,
i) The numbers of posts and reservation thereof are tentative and can increase or decrease subject toconfirmation of Roster Point by Social Welfare Deptt./Employment Exchange UT, Chandigarh.
ii) No TA/DA etc. will be paid to the candidates, who are called for the Written Test, Interview etc.
iii) The Written Test will be held in Chandigarh only. Candidates with valid Application shall beissued Call Letters/Admit Cards. These should be downloaded by the candidates
iv) Candidates applying under any of the reserved category viz SC /OBC will be considered subject tosubmission of Caste Certificate on a prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority. OBCcandidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.
v) On the basis of written test, the candidates will be shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates mustbring all original certificates along with one set of photocopy, duly attested/self attested. All theoriginal certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview.
vi) No separate letter for Written Test, Interview etc. will be sent.
vii) Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID which should be kept active during therecruitment process, as all the information relating to recruitment of Staff Nurses will beavailable only on On-Line.
viii) The eligible candidates are required to bring all the certificates/testimonials in original, in support oftheir qualification, experience and date of birth etc. and also NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE fromthe present employer, if working in the Govt./Semi Govt./Corporate Body/Undertaking of theCentral/State Govt. and in absence of which the candidate will not be allowed to appear forinterview.

The first 500-bedded General Hospital in sector 16 remains choked with the flow of patients from the first phase sectors of the city and the surrounding states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and western parts of Uttar Pradesh.
