LPSC, ISRO invites applications for the following posts:

1. Scientist/ Engineer-SC : 06 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.5400/-

2. Medical Officer -SC : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.5400/-

General Instructions:
1) BE/B.Tech should be in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65%. ME/M.Tech should be in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60%. For Post No.592 (Medical Officer) MBBS Degree shall be in First Class. Candidates possessing Second Class Degree are also eligible to apply. However every effort will be made to recruit candidate possessing First Class Degree only. Rounding-off of marks not allowed.
2) The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.
3) Age limit as on 03.11.2011 is 35 years, but relaxable by 5 years in the case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates. Ex-servicemen and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) are eligible for upper age relaxation as per Govt. of India rules. Children/family members of those who died in the riots of 1984 will be given preference in recruitment by giving necessary age relaxation as applicable.
4) For Post No. 588 & 589, one vacancy each is for Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SDSC, SHAR, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh and the other vacancies are for LPSC, but the selected candidates are liable to be posted in any of the Centres or Units of ISRO or Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.

9) Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro Second Class Railway Fare by the shortest route including reservation/sleeper charges or bus fare as the case may be.
10) Applications received against this advertisement will be short-listed and those short listed candidates alone will be called for further selection process.
11) No interim correspondence will be entertained.
12) Only Indian Nationals need to apply.
13) The Centre reserves the right not to fill-up any of the posts, if it so decides.
14) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre is the centre of excellence in the area of Liquid Propulsion for ISRO?s Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes. The Centre is entrusted with the responsibility of research and development of Earth Storable and Cryogenic Propulsion systems and delivers Engines, Stages, associated Control Systems and Components for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes of ISRO. Units of LPSC are located at three places, viz,at Valiamala, in Kerala; Mahendragiri in Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru in Karnataka.
