Applications are invited from male Indian citizens fulfilling the eligibility criteria for recruitment to the following Para-Medical posts in SSB :

ASI ( Pharmacist) (Male and Female) : 18 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
ASI (Radiographer) (Male and Female) : 10 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
ASI (Operation Theatre Technician) (Male and Female): 02 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200 – 20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
ASI (Dental Technician) (Male and Female) : 03 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
Head Constable (Steward) (Male and Female): 03 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2400/-

Application Fee : Application fee will be Rs. 50/- for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories in favour of the authorities as defined in the detailed advt. No fee will be charged from SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.
How to Apply : Eligible and desirous candidates should send their applications BY POST in theprescribed proforma given in Annexure-I and II with two attested passport size photographs duly affixed on application form and admit card at the space provided for thepurpose, along with application fee of Rs.50/- and attested copies of the testimonials as inPara-12.
i) Applications submitted on a format, which is not the same, as published in thisadvertisement, are liable to be rejected summarily.
ii) Candidates applying for more than one post should send separate application for eachpost.
iii) Candidate should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation, 10+2 /Secondary Examination Certificate OR an equivalent Certificate on the date of submissionof application, will be granted.
iv) If the above documents are not submitted along with the application, it will be rejectedsummarily
v) Incomplete or unsigned applications, applications without attested photographs,applications received late will be rejected summarily.
vi) All candidates in Govt. service whether in a permanent or in temporary capacity etc. willbe required to submit their application through proper channel along with NOC.Application shall be rejected if received late or are not complete in all respects as providedin the rules.
vii) Any wrong attestation so as to mislead the Recruitment board or to gain access toexamination would lead to criminal/debar action against the candidate besidescancellation of his candidature.
viii) No separate admit cards / call letter will be issued to the qualified candidates calledfor written examination, technical test and final medical examination.
ix) In case any candidate is found ineligible or suppressing facts on any ground after hisselection/appointment, his services will be terminated without assigning any reason.
x) The Government shall not be responsible for damage /injury/loss to the individual, ifany, sustained during the entire recruitment process and journey.
xi) The DG SSB has full rights to make changes or cancel /postpone the recruitmentwithout assigning any reason.
xii) Candidates canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence /pressure, offering illegalgratification, blackmailing or threatening to blackmail any person connected with
recruitment will be disqualified.

About the organization:
SSB is a Border Guarding Force (BGF) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs.SSB was set up in early 1963 in the wake of the Indo-China conflict to inculcate feelings of national belonging in the border population and develop their capabilities for resistance through a continuous process of motivation, training, development, welfare programmes and activities in the then NEFA, North Assam, North Bengal, hills of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh. The scheme was later extended to Manipur, Tripura, Jammu (1965), Meghalaya (1975), Sikkim (1976), border areas of Rajasthan and Guj arat (1989), Manipur, Mizoram and some more areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat (1988), South Bengal, Nagaland (1989) and Nubra Valley, Rajouri and Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir (1991). In the forty years of its existence, SSB endeavoured to present a benign face of the government among border populace in the far flung and inaccessible areas subscribing to the ETHOS of Service, Security and Brotherhood. The local populace always found SSB standing steadfastly with them during difficult times.As the applications are to be processed by a computerized system, it is essential that theapplication is strictly in accordance with the prescribed, format, is properly andcompletely filled and contains no correction/alteration/overwriting. Mere qualifying all the prescribed test in SSB recruitment does not confer the right ofselection of the candidate but they should have to stand in merit keeping in view theavailable vacancies.
