Applications are invited from male Indian citizens fulfilling the eligibility criteria for recruitment to the following posts of Constable Tradesman in SSB :
Constable Tradesman : posts in various trades, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 GP Rs.2000, Age : 18-23 years as on 09/08/2012.

CT ( Cobbler) : 37 posts
CT ( Gardener) : 08 posts
Application Fee : Application fee will be Rs. 50/- for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories in favour of “Accounts Officer, FTR HQ, SSB, Patna, Bihar ” payable at Patna.
How to Apply : Eligible and desirous candidates should send their applications in the prescribed proforma with attested passport size photographs duly affixed on the application form and admit card and duly completed in all respect to The Inspector General, FTR HQ (SSB), Patna, Rukanpura House, Baily Road, Patna (Bihar)-800014.
i) Applications submitted on a format, which is not the same, as published in thisadvertisement, incomplete applications are liable to be rejected summarily and nocorrespondence will be entertained in this regard.
ii) Candidates applying for more than one post should send separate application foreach post.
iii) If the above documents are not submitted along with the application, it will berejected summarily or at any stage of the recruitment process and no request forreconsideration will be entertained.
iv) Incomplete or unsigned applications, applications without attestedphotographs, applications received late will be rejected summarily.
v) All candidates in Govt. service whether in a permanent or in temporary capacity etc.will be required to submit their application through proper channel along with NOC.Application shall be rejected if received late or are not complete in all respects asprovided in the rules.
vi) Any wrong attestation so as to mislead the Recruitment board or to gain access toexamination would lead to criminal/debar action against the candidate besides
vii) No separate admit cards/ call letter will be issued to the qualified candidatescalled for written examination, Technical/Trade Test and final medicalexamination. The same will be apprised to the candidate by the recruitmentboard and the list of qualified candidates called for above test will be displayedon the notice board at the recruitment venue as well
viii) In case any candidate is found ineligible or suppressing facts or suffering from anyillness/ disease likely to interfere in efficient discharge of his duties or on anyground after his selection/appointment, his services will be terminated withoutassigning any reason.
ix) The Government shall not be responsible for damage /injury/loss to the individual,if any, sustained during the entire recruitment process and journey.
x) The DG SSB has full rights to make changes or cancel /postpone therecruitment without assigning any reason.
xi) Candidates canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence /pressure, offeringillegal gratification, blackmailing or threatening to blackmail any person connectedwith recruitment will be disqualified.

About the organization:
Sashastra Seema Bal was established as Special Service Bureau in May 1963, in the aftermath of the Chinese aggression (in 1962). Sashastra Seema Bal came under aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Jan 2001). SSB was declared a Lead Intelligence Agency for Indo Nepal (June 2001) and assigned the Indo Nepal border. Later, SSB was also assigned Indo Bhutan border (March 2004). In March 2004, SSB received the President’s Colours (March 2004) in recognition of the keystone role in national security, since its inception.The Force’s charter of responsibility is to promote a sense of security among the people living in the border areas; prevent trans border crimes and unauthorized entry into or exit from Indian territory; and to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities on our frontiers. The Force personnel are vested with various powers under the Criminal Procedure Code to facilitate border guarding and internal security duties.SSB has its Force Headquarters at New Delhi and three Frontier Headquarters at Lucknow, Patna and Guwahati.
