There is vacancy of 359 Male Constable in Punjab District Police in SAS Nagar district of Punjab in the pay scale PB-2 Rs. 5910-20200 grade pay Rs.1900.

Qualification : 10+2 or equivalent in any discipline. It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation exam with Punjabi as compulsory/ optional subject. For Ex-serviceman , the minimum qualification is Matric.
Age : The minimum and maximum age for recruitment shall be 18 years and 25 years respectively. The cut off date shall be 30.6.2010. Relaxation in upper age limit in case of Scheduled Casts/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes shall be as prescribed by the Government. Ex-Servicemen shall be given relaxation in the upper age limit by 3 years plus the number of years of service rendered in the Defence Forces. However, the period between discharge from defence services and re-employment should not exceed 24
months (2 years).
How to Apply : Application in the prescribed format completely filled in all aspects along with all documents/ certificates and a DD of Rs.100/- in favour of Chairman, District Recruitment Board ………. (S.A.S. Nagar) should reach the Chairman, District Recruitment Board SSP Office, SAS Nagar on or before 10/08/2010.
