UP Police Recruitment 2013 – 2849 Computer Operator, Programmer Posts: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board – UPPRPB has released a recruitment notification for the recruitment of 2849 Computer Operator, Programmer Posts. Eligible candidates can apply online from 13-05-2013 to 12-06-2013. For more details regarding age limit, educational qualifications, selection process and how to apply are mentioned below…..

Name of the Posts:

1. Computer Operator Grade-A: 2842 posts

2. Programmer Grade-2: 07 posts

Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18-28 years for Sr. No. 1 posts & 21-30 years for Sr. No. 2 posts as on 01-07-2013. Age relaxations will be extended as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess Inter with Physics, Mathematics along with DOEACC for Sr. No. 1 post & Degree along with DOEACC along with PG in Computer Science/ PGDCA for Sr. No. 2 posts.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.200/- as application fee in the shape of system generated challan in SBI/ Punjab National Bank.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test, interview.

1. First Candidates have to scan their photo and signature.
2. Now log on to http://uppbpb.gov.in & http://prpb.up.nic.in from 13-05-2013 to 12-06-2013.
3. Click on ‘ Candidates Registration’ and take print of Registration Slip & E-Challan.
4. Make payment in SBI/ Punjab National Bank. After one day candidates have to log in again.
5. Candidates can enter Transaction ID, Journal Number and all other details must fill the details before 2.00 pm.
6. Upload the photo and signature.
7. Now Click on ‘View Application Form’ Check the application.
8. Now Click on ‘Submit’ Button.
9. Take Print Copy of the Submitted Application for further usage.

About the organization:  
With an area of appx. 236,286 Sq.Km. and a population of over 16.60 Crores apporx (census 2001), Uttar Pradesh has the distinction of being the largest single Police force not only in the country but of the entire world. The Director General of UP Police commands a force of approx. 2.0 Lacs aprox. personnel spread over 75 districts, 33 armed Battalions and other specialised wings/ branches relating to Intelligence, Investigation, Anti-corruption, Technical, Training, Forensic Science etc.  The present police system in the country was created following the recommendation of the Police Commission headed by Mr. H.M. Court in 1860 which led to the enactment of the Police Act of 1861, which is in force even today. The same Mr. Court became the first Inspector General of Police of the then North West Province and Avadh which comprised the territory of the present state of Uttar Pradesh. The Police structure was erected in the form of the following eight organisations : The Civil Police too continued to grow and Mr. B.N. Lahiri was the first Indian IGP of the state after independence. The performance of the State Police in the spheres of Crime control and maintenance of Law and Order was highly appreciated and it had the proud privilege of being the first police force in the country to be conferred the honour of receiving the Colors on 13th November, 1952 by the then Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.
