Recruitment of Judgment Writers
The High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh applications for filling up the following posts :
Restorer : 102 posts (UR-83, SC/ST/BC-11, Ex.SM-5, PH-3), Pay Scale : Rs. 5910 – 20200 Grade pay Rs.2400/-, Age : 21-30 years, relaxation in age as per rules., Qualification : 10 + 2
Fee : Application Fee of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/BC only) in the form of DD drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Chandigarh in favour of The Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh.

1. Candidates can apply on the prescribed form only. Applicants already working in Subordinate Courts or Officesof the Govt. of State of Punjab, Haryana and U.T., Chandigarh should route their applications through proper channel.Applicants should affix their latest passport size photograph on the space specified in the application form.
2.All other conditions of recruitment not covered in the noticeabove shall be regulated as per the relevant provisions of the High CourtEstablishment (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules 1973, as amended from time to time.
3.On verification of the testimonials/documents, if at any stage,it is found that a candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, his/hercandidature will be cancelled without any notice or further reference, even after his/her selection/appointmen
4. The application form is priced at 2.200/- for GeneralCategory and 2.100/- in case of SC/ST/BC/Ex-Servicemen/PH which includesexamination fee also. The application form can be obtained on any working dayat the counters in Scooter/Cycle Stand Building near Post Office in HighCourt premises,

About the organization:
After the partition of India, the Constitution of India was framed. However, before the partition, there was the Government of India Act, 1915. By virtue of the powers conferred by Section 113 of the Government of India Act,1915, the Crown by Letters Patent dated March 20, 1919 had established at Lahore, the High Court of judicature for the provinces of Punjab and Delhi to be called ‘the High Court of judicature at Lahore’. The High Court of judicature at Lahore was a court of record. On the establishment of the Lahore High Court, the Chief Court of Punjab, which was functioning for the last 53 years, was abolished. The High Court at Lahore by virtue of Letters Patent and Section 106 and 113 of the Government of India Act, 1915 was vested with all the appellate and superintending powers, authority and jurisdiction of the Chief Court. The Lahore High Court by its Letters Patent was also vested with original jurisdiction in certain special matters as were possessed by the Chief Court. These special matters included disciplinary action against Advocates (Clause 8); Guardianship (Clause 12); testamentary and intestate (Clause 24)and matrimonial matters (Clause 22).
