Recrutiment of 320 Civil Judge in High Court of Gujarat

Job or Vacancy Description:
The High Court of Gujarat invites online applications from the eligible candidates, for filling up of following posts of Civil Judge in the state of Gujarat :

Civil Judge : 320 posts (33 Regular + 287 Ad-hoc), Pay scale :  Rs.27700-770- 33090-930- 40530-1080- 44850 + allowances, Age : 35 years; relaxation in age as per rules, Qualification : Degree in Law from a recognised University and must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and / or Criminal Jurisdiction. Candidates who have passed the Degree in Law from the academic year 2009-2010 and onwards must have passed the ‘All India Bar Examination’, for being considered eligible as a Practicing Advocate. OR (i) Must have worked in Courts or other allied departments for at least five years and must possess Degree in Law (Special) from a University recognized by law in India.

Application Fee :  Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/EBC/PH) to be paid in Current Bank Account No. 30725811785 with the State Bank of India, High Court Complex Branch, Ahmedabad, held in the name of Registrar General, High Court of Gujarat, Sola, Ahmedabad, through any of the Core Banking Service branches of the State Bank of India using the Cash Voucher.

How to Apply : Apply Online at the Gujarat High Court

General Instructions:
a) Candidates belonging to General Category, who are born between31/05/1967 and 31/05/1977 and the candidates belonging to ReservedCategory (SC/ST/SEBC) as well as Orthopedically Disabled Persons andEx-Serviceman, who born between 31/05/1964 and 31/05/1977 shall onlybe eligible to apply.
b) The Candidates who have successfully submitted On-line applicationsshall only be eligible for appearing at the Preliminary Examination(Elimination Test).
c) The decision of the High Court as to the eligibility or otherwise of acandidate for admission to the Preliminary Examination, Main WrittenExamination and/or Viva-voce shall be final. No candidate, to whom aCertificate of Admission viz. ‘Call-Letter cum Admission Slip’ has notbeen issued by the Recruiting Authority, shall be admitted for theExamination concerned.
d) The candidates shall have to appear at their own expenses for thePreliminary Examination / Main Written Examination and Viva-voce, (ifcalled for), at the place and time, that may be decided by the High Court.
e) Benefit of relaxation in upper age limit & Fees shall be granted to theOrthopedically Disabled Persons, provided that Certificate in respectof the disability issued by the Competent Authority of the State, isproduced by the candidate as and when called for, whereas, relaxation inupper age limit shall be granted to the Ex-Servicemen, provided
Certificate/Identity Card in that respect, is produced by the candidate asand when called for.
f) The list of eligible/short-listed candidates will be placed on High Courtwebsite.
g) Candidate shall require to download his/her Call-letter from theGujarat High Court website or OJAS Portal of NIC, by usinghis/her Application Number, PIN Number/ Confirmation Number atthe respective Examination/ Viva-voce and the same may also besent on his/her E-mail Id or by SMS, as required.
h) Candidate shall produce, at the time of appearing for the Preliminary /Main Written Examination/ Viva-voce, an Identity proof i.e. ID Cardissued by Election Commission of India or the Bar Council of the State or‘PAN Card’ or valid Driving License, in original, along with the CallLetter.
i) A candidate who is found indulging in unfair practices, viz. copying ormisconduct during the course of examination, using electronic gadgets orMobile Phones etc., tampering with Question Paper, influencing anyperson concerned with the Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) orWritten Examination or Oral Interview, will be debarred from appearingfor Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) or Main WrittenExamination or Oral Interview, as the case may be, for that Examinationor for any number of years or permanently, as may be decided by theHigh Court.
j) Result of all Tests/Examinations, will be made available on the HighCourt website and/or by any other mode that may be decided by the HighCourt.
k) Mere success in the Test/Examination, shall not confer any right toappointment, and no candidate shall be appointed to the post unless theGovernment is satisfied, after such inquiries, as may be considerednecessary, that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment tothe post.
l) Candidate should obtain requisite Language Certificate andPractice/Experience Certificate from the Competent Authority afterpublication of result of Main Written Examination.

The Translation in Gujarati of The Right to Information Act, 2005(22 of 2005) ishereby published under the authority of the President and shall be deemed to be theAuthori- tative Texts thereof in Gujarati under clause (a) of section 2 of the AuthoritativeTranslations (Central Laws) Act, 1973 (50 of 1973).On and from the date of commencement of these Rules, there shall be constituted a State Service known as the Gujarat State Judicial Service.With effect from commencement of these Rules, the Service shall consist of the cadres and the posts specified below in column 2 and 3 respectively, and the existing posts specified in column 4 shall stand designated as the cadres specified in the corresponding entries in column 2 below. must not have attained the age of thirty five years and must not have completed as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications thirty eight years of age in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.Provided that if the High Court has made any order under Article 16(4) or 16(4-A) of the Constitution providing reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes the recruitment shall be subject to such order.whenever three or more vacancies required to be filled by direct recruitment occur in a cadre in the service or once in two years, whichever is earlier, the recruiting authority shall, invite by advertisement in the Official Gazette and in at least two newspapers, applications in such form as it may determine from intending candidates, who possess the prescribed qualifications. The advertisement shall indicate the number of vacancies notified for recruitment and the number of vacancies, if any, reserved for the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and shall contain all necessary information relating to the recruitment. It shall also indicate that an additional list of selected candidates would be prepared as per clause  The decision of the recruiting authority as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the written and viva voce examination shall be final.
