Advertisement for the post of Senior Scientific Assistant in the pay scale of 9300-34800+4200 (GP)

Post : Senior Scientific Assistant  : 1 (One)

Scale of Pay : 9300 -34800 + GP 4200

Essential Qualification : M.Sc.(Chemistry) or B.E./B.Tech. (Pulp & Paper/Chemical Engineering/Pulp & Paper Engineering) or recognized equivalent qualifications with minimum 60% marks

Age limit : 28 years

How to apply : The prescribed qualification should have been obtained from recognized University/ Institutions. The post carries usual allowances i.e. D.A., H.R.A., Transport allowance as per Central Government rules and benefits like Contributory Provident Fund, Group Saving Linked Insurance, Medical as per Institute rules. The retirement age is 60 years. The crucial date for determining the upper age limits, qualifications, and/or experience shall be the closing date of receipt of applications. Age limit is relaxable as per Govt. rules issued from time to time for SC/ST/OBC/PH and other categories. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disabilities shall alone be eligible for benefit for the relaxation. Photocopy of the Caste/Tribe and physical handicapped certificate issued by competent authority is required to be attached. Application duly completed in all respect should be submitted to Director, Central Pulp and Paper Research Institute, Post Box No. 174, Saharanpur-247001 (U.P.) within 30 days of publication of the advertisement together with Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- non-refundable with the validity of six months drawn in favour of Central Pulp And Paper Research Institute, payable at Saharanpur. (No demand draft is required from SC/ST, Physically Handicapped an female candidates and from departmental candidates, if any).

To promote R&D in the field of pulp & paper, a National level Institute was established in 1980 as an autonomous body under the administrative control of Dept. of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Industry, Govt. of India.The origin of CPPRI dates back to the year 1975 when the UNDP-GOI Project became operational. After the conclusion of the UNDP Project, the facilities thus created were utilized to fulfill the long felt need for a National Level Institute to promote R&D needs of Indian Pulp and Paper Industry. Thus after the approval of the cabinet, Central Pulp & Paper research Institute (CPPRI) came into existence in November 1980. Existing R&D facilities were continuously upgraded with the aid of Plan Funds received from the Government. Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute is located at Saharanpur, a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh (India), 168 kms from New Delhi, well connected by rail & road.
