Job or Vacancy Description:
ECIL a professionally managed Electronics & IT Giant with several Firsts and Awards engaged inter-alia in Automation; Controls, Communications, IT including Computer Education, Special Products, Instrumentation etc., with major emphasis on Defence & Nuclear areas.  Eligible candidates are invited for interview for the following posts on contract basis for a period of 2 years :

1. Technical Officer (C)  : 03 posts

2. Test & Maintenance Supervisor (C) : 04 posts

Application Fee : Candidates are required to forward a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted) drawn in favour of “ECIL” payable at Hyderabad.

How to Apply : Candidates should appear with original & photo copies of certificates in respect of qualifications, experience and caste with a recent passport size photograph,  from 0930 hrs. to 1330 at ECIL South Zone Office, Panagal Building Ground Floor, 1A, Jeenis Road, Saidapet, Chennai  – 600015.

General Instructions:
1. A First Class Graduate in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering. Would be responsible to prepare procedure from various manufacturer documents, carry-out main control room, panel installation,

2. A First Class Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering. Should have experience in preparation of procedures from various manufacturer document, carryout calibration, testing of instruments, control panel/cabinet installation activities,

3. cabling and termination works, pre-commissioning checks on the systems and generate necessary reports. They will also assist maintenance engineers in providing long-term support services to the Control & Instrumentation Systems at Site after completion of commissioning.

4. ECIL was setup under the Department of Atomic Energy in the year 1967 with a view to generating a strong indigenous capability in the field of professional grade electronics. The present employee strength of the company is about 5100

5. The post-liberalization era posed a number of challenges to the company especially in the area of HR, Due to the right sizing and restructuring compelled by the market forces. With the help of Government of India, the company offered attractive Voluntary Retirement schemes to the employees which invited reasonable response.

6. Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Department of Atomic Energy entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a PSU under Ministry of Defence on 24th September 2011.

7. The MoU was signed by Maj. Gen. Ravi Khetarpal, VSM (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, BDL and Shri Y S Mayya, Outstanding Scientist and Chairman & Managing Director, ECIL at Hyderabad in the presence of senior officials from BDL and ECIL. (Photograph attached)

ECIL was setup under the Department of Atomic Energy on 11th April, 1967 with a view to generate a strong  indigenous capability in the field of professional grade electronics. The initial accent was on total self-reliance and ECIL was engaged in the Design, Development, Manufacture and Marketing of several products with emphasis on three technology lines viz. Computers, Control Systems and Communications.
