OSSC Vacancy Details:Total Number of Vacancies: 29
Names of Posts:
1. Inspector – 10 vacancies
2. Primary Investigator – 10 vacancies
3. Sr. Laboratory Assistant – 09 vacancies
Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 21 years and 32 years. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-01-2012. (Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules).
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be Bachelor in Arts/Science for Primary Investigator post and Bachelor/Diploma in Science/Engineering for remaining posts.
Application Fee Details: Applicants need to pay application fee of Rs. 100/- in form of treasury Challan under the Head of Account ’0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-examination fees-0047-fees collected for conducting examination-02041-examination-fee’. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test and Viva voce.
How to Apply: Candidates need to apply through Online mode on or before 17-08-2012 for Primary Investigator post and 21-08-2012 for remaining posts. After submission of Online Application candidates must send the print out of application form by post on or before 24-08-2012 for Primary Investigator post and 28-08-2012 for remaining posts.

2. Select the ‘Apply Online’ link below the desired post to be applied for.
3. Read all the instructions carefully and select Apply Online link.

6. Take print of Application Form and send it along with Challan and copies of all relevant documents to concerned commission’s office.

About the organization:
The Orissa Staff Selection Commission was set up in the year 1994 for selecting suitable candidates to fill up the vacancies in State cadre Group-C /Class-III posts, as may be notified. The Office of the Commission is presently located at Barrack No.I, Unit-V, Bhubaneswar.The Commission comprises of the Chairman and a Member. The Secretary functions as the head of office; and assisting him are the Joint Secretary, Under Secretary and Accounts Officer who discharge various statutory, administrative and financial functions.The Commission has conducted recruitment examinations for posts of S.1. of Police, Inspector of Co-operative Societies, Welfare Extension Officer, Local Fund Auditors etc. and furnished selected list of candidates to the requisitioning departments. Till June, 2011 the Commission has conducted 139 recruitment examinations and sponsored 5343 numbers of selected candidates for appointment.The Commission decides the plan of examination and syllabus of the papers in consultation with the concerned requisitioning authority. The Committee also fixes the schedule of the examination process.
