Qualification : Graduate in Civil Engineering with at least 05(five) years of experience as an Assistant Engineer or equivalent post in any Govt./Govt. undertaking/reputed private organization
Pay Band : Rs. 12000-40000 + GP 6100/
2. Senior Accounts Officer : 01 Post
Qualification : MBA(Finance)/M.Com. (specialization in Accountancy) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and uniformly good academic career
Pay Band : Rs. 15,600-39100 + GP 5400/-
3. Academic Officer : 01 Post
Qualification : i) At least 55% marks at the Master’s Degree level and have uniformly good academic career . ii) Should have adequate knowledge about the structure of the various courses run by the University , reforms in higher education and different modes of teaching-learning-evaluation process, UGC rules/guidelines etc. iii) Skill of Computer Applications with proficiency in preparation of proceedings/minutes etc

About the organization:
Dibrugarh University, the easternmost University of India was set up in 1965 under the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965 enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. It is a teaching-cum-affiliating University with limited residential facilities. The University is situated at Rajabheta at a distance of about five kilometres to the south of the premier town of Dibrugarh in the eastern part of Assam as well as India. Dibrugarh, a commercially and industrially advanced town in the entire northeastern region also enjoys a unique place in the fields of Art, Literature and Culture. The district of Dibrugarh is well known for its vast treasure of minerals (including oil and natural gas and coal), flora and fauna and largest concentration of tea plantations. The diverse tribes with their distinct dialects, customs, traditions and culture form a polychromatic ethnic mosaic, which becomes a paradise for the study of Anthropology and Sociology, besides art and culture. The Dibrugarh University Campus is wel l linked by roads, rails, air and waterways. The National Highway No.37 passes through the University Campus. The territorial jurisdiction of Dibrugarh University covers seven districts of Upper Assam, viz, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Dhemaji and Lakhimpur. The University Campus extends over an area of more than 500 acres of which 60 acres are still covered under tea plantation. The University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an institutional score of 71% (B grade). The Re-accreditation has also been done in March 2009. Dibrugarh University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and recognised by all Universities in India and abroad on reciprocal basis. The University through the various teaching Departments, Centres of Studies in its campus and the affiliated colleges scattered over the seven districts is imparting higher education in the various branches of learning in Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medical, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Law, Science & Technology, Computer Sciences, Management and Teachers’ Training. In the University Campus, at present there are 17 Teaching Departments and 14 Centres of Studies teaching subjects in Arts, Science, Technology, Commerce, Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Law and Education leading to the M.A., M.Sc., M.Tech, M.Com., M.B.A., M.Pharm., M.Ed., M.L.I.Sc., B.Ed., B. Pharm., B.B.A., B.C.A., 5-Year B.A. LL.B. (Hons), M.C.A., B.Sc.(IT), and B.L.I.Sc. degrees. Some of these Departments/ Centres also conduct Diploma Courses like the two year Diploma Course in Tai-Language, Post Graduate Diploma in – Computer Application (PGDCA), Statistical Techniques and Computation (PGDSTC), Tea Technology and Plantation Management (PGDTTPM), Tourism Management (PGDTM), Journalism and Mass Communication (PGDJMC), Electronic Preparation of Mathematical Language (PGDEPML), Diploma in Oil-Well Drilling Technology (DOWDT), Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in – Atmospheric Physics (APGDAP), Telecommunication (APGDT), Petroleum Exploration Geo-Physics, Nano Science and Composite Materials, etc. Besides these, Dibrugarh University is going to introduce five year Integrated M.Sc. in Physics and Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) courses from 2009-2010 session. Dibrugarh University with financial assistance received from the Department of Electronics (DoE), Govt. of India under its Employment Generation Training Schemes Level, Repair and Maintenance of PC Hardwares and Repair and Maintenance of Consumer Electronic Equipments. Besides teaching the above mentioned Courses, the University offers M.Phil programme in ten subjects and encourages research in all departments for the Degree of Ph.D. The Department of Assamese was started in 1967 and the first batch of students received their M. A. Degree in 1969. Since then 39 batches of students have passed out of this department many of whom have distinguished themselves not only in academic fields such as professors, readers, lecturers, teachers but also as poets, dramatists, novelists, essayists, short story writers, musicians, political leaders, civil servants and social workers. The Department has a unique position in the University in terms of its academic performance and substantial contribution to human knowledge. Since the beginning the department has served a lot to Assamese Literature, Culture, History, and to the society as a whole. Most of the faculty members of the department are erudite scholars in their respective branches of study and are contributing to their best for the student community and the society. The department feels proud to say that it was the first in all the departments of the University to get provision of DSA Programme in 1992 for five years and the 2nd part of DSA programme was provided by UGC in 2000 for another five years. The department was provided ASIHSS Programme in 2006 for five years and CAS Programme in 2007 for five years.The Department of Anthropology, Dibrugarh University started functioning in the year 1966, one year after the inception of the University. The teaching however, began in 1967. Dr. R. P. Srivastava was appointed as the Head of the Department. The Department started with a strong determination to impart Post-Graduate Teaching and Research. Its main aims and objectives have been :- To impart regular teaching at the Post Graduate level; To provide regular supervision and guidance to Ph.D. Programmes having theoretical as well as social relevance and To develop human resource with special emphasis on the region where it is located. The department has built up adequate laboratory facilities for teaching and researches in various branches of Anthropology like Physical and Cultural including Prehistoric Archaeology. Under the guidance of Prof. B. M. Das who had been the Head of the department from 1973-1976, the department could develop a well-equipped serology laboratory. The Department so far could produce 42 Ph.D. theses since its inception. The Department is proud to recall all those who could curve out a niche for themselves and are placed at respectable places around the world. Dr. Ranjan Deka, M.Sc., 1972; Ph.D. 1976, presently working in the Department of Environment Health, University of Cincinnati, U.S.A. Dr. Pradip Dey, M.Sc., 1970, presently working as Professor, Department of Computer Science, Hampton University, Hampton, VA. 23668, U.S.A. Prof. R. K. Kar, M.Sc. (1969); Ph.D. (1976), retired Professor, Department of Anthropology, Dibrugarh University. Dr. Sarthak Sengupta, M.Sc. (1977); Ph.D. (1983), presently working in the Department of Anthropology, Dibrugarh University as Reader.Dr. Deepanjana Dutta Das, M.Sc. (1973); Ph.D. (1979); presently working in Department of Anthropology, Dibrugarh University as Reader and HOD. Gradually the Department could achieve its present status, due to it, through the relentless efforts put by a group of eminent faculty members whose contributions to the growth of the Department are proudly treasured and cherished.
