Job or Vacancy Description:
The Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP – Jeeviak) is a Government of Bihar initiative aiming to reduce rural poverty. The project seeks committed people at State, District and Block Level to play a leading role to guide and support field teams in achieving project goals. The positions offered are:
Opening at State Level :
1. Project Manager : 05 posts
2. Data Administrator : 01 post
3. Project Associate : 01 post
4. Accountant : 01 post
5. Office Assistant : 01 post
Opening at District Level :
1. District Project Manager : 01 post
2. Training Managers : 05 posts
3. Finance Managers : 02 posts
4. Manager : 06 posts
5. Training Officers : 02 posts
Openings at Block Level :
1. Block Project manager : 02 posts
2. Chief Executive – Women Farmers Producer Company : 03 posts
3. Livelihoods Specialist : 04 posts
4. Accountant : 17 posts
5. Office Assistant : 16 posts
All Positions are offered on a contract basis for a period of three years, renewed based on review of performance.

General Instructions:
1. Proficiency in computers and command on MS Office is essential for all positions.
2. Reservation Policy of Govt. of Bihar will be applicable. Reservation benefits will only be available to the domiciled residents of Bihar.
3. Extensive field visit will be required in case of all positions.
4. All Positions are offered on a contract basis, renewed every year based on review of performance.
5. Government employees, persons employed with PSUs and Bank employees are also encouraged to apply. Relevant deputation norms would be applicable for them. If shortlisted, they would undergo the same selection process as other candidates. Apart from their existing salary, persons taken on deputation will receive a project allowance (20% of their basic pay or 4000/month whichever is lesser) and Annual Performance incentive as per the Project norms. Other Project benefits like communication and self learning benefits may also be extended to them.
6. Retired Officials from Government / PSUs/ Banks with relevant work experience with enough zeal and willingness to work for the cause of the poor may also apply for suitable posts.
7. Remuneration would be fixed based on qualification and years of experience.
8. 10. Selection: BRLPS has contracted SIDS, New Delhi, an independent professional agency to fill these positions. Short listed applicants will be invited to appear for Selection Tests at Patna.

About the organization:
Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS) is an independent society set up by the Government of Bihar and supported by the World Bank. The BRLPS is implementing JEEViKA – Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project with the objective of enhancing the social and economic empowerment of the rural poor in Bihar.The core strategy of the programme is to build vibrant community institutions of women, which through member saving, internal loaning, regular repayment and economic activities become self managed institutions. The focus is on a demand driven approach for community participation and ownership in implementation. The self help groups (SHGs), the primary level community organization, will be federated at the higher level to become social service providers, business entities and valued clients of the banking system. The financing strategy will be based on a robust financial model where the community organization will revolve leveraged funds from various sources rather than from just a single dose subsidy. Develop social capital for strengthening and sustaining the community organisations. The project in its geographical area of operation will work on the saturation approach taking in the Project fold all poor.The Project will be implemented by Bihar Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (BRLPS) which has been established as an independent and autonomous institution by the Goverment of Bihar. The Project will establish State, District and Block level units for managing and implementing the project.
