NIT Hamirpur invites applications for faculty positions at the levels of Assistant Professor/ lecturer in various disciplines and subjects :
Assistant Professor/ Lecturer on contract basis for 3 years in various Engineering/ Architecture/ Sciences/ Humanities Departments., Payment : Rs.43000/- per month for Ph.D. candidates and Rs. 38000/- for non- Ph.D. candidates (M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Phil.) who will be appointed as Lecturer Rs. 35000/- for non- Ph.D. candidates (B.Tech./ B.Arch./ M.Sc./ M.A./ MBA) who will be appointed as Lecturer

1. A one day workshop ?Tips For Preparing For Civil Services Exam? was organized on 18th April by Department of Management &Social Sciences & Sankalp Siksha Academy, Delhi in the conference hall of the institute. The director of the institute Prof. I K Bhat was the chief guest of the workshop. During addressing the students Dr. Bhat emphasized on the right guideline & full commitment for achieving any goal . About 75 aspirants were present in the workshop In the end a counseling session of students was organized with Mr. Santosh Taneja vice president of SANKALP SIKSHA academy.
2. A two days work shop on ?Audio/Video Editing and Animation? was conducted by Photography club of NIT Hamirpur during 10-11 April, 2010 in the Computer Centre of NIT Hamirpur. Prof. I.K. Bhat, Director NIT Hamirpur urged the students to make best use of the audio video and animation techniques learned during the workshop Coordinators: Dr. (Mrs.) Kamlesh Dutta, Mr. Pardeep Singh, Ms. Neetu Kapoor, Mr. Deep Kanga.karnataka government jobs
3. Maj. Gen. P. N. Kaul inaugurated the workshop on Competent International Marketing Strategies (CIMS-10) for Indian defense systems at NIT Hamirpur organized by Mechanical engineering and Management Departments Jointly on 15th April 2010.The inaugural function was also graced by Prof. Mithileshwar Jha, Joint Director IIM Banglore, Dr. Anuradha Reddy, Jt. Director DRDO, Prof. I.K. Bhat Director NIT Hamirpur. Many senior scientists and heads of various research labs of DRDO and keynote speakers from IISc and IIM attended the two day workshop. In all about 50 delegates participated in the workshop. During the workshop strategies for marketing the Defense products at international level were deliberated. Workshop Coordinators Dr. Somesh Sharma, Dr Amar Patnaik, Chairman Prof Sunand Kumar Gupta.
4. Department of Architecture, NIT Hamirpur Organized a two days? workshop on ?Architectural Journalism and Photography? from 14th -15th May, 2010 under Continuing Education. The workshop was inaugurated by our worthy Director Sir Prof. I.K.Bhat. Experts from field i.e. Ar. S.S Bagha practicing architect and chairman Punjab &Chandigarh chapter IIA and Dr. Dev Inder Singh, Internationally acclaimed photographers, were called to deliver talk on various aspects of Architectural Journalism and Photography. Students of all batches of architecture department and other departments participated in the workshop.

Una is well linked to all parts of India and journey is of nine hours from Old Delhi Railway Station. Taxi/Bus services are available from Hamirpur to Una. NIT Hamirpur is around 4 kilometers away from Hamirpur bus stand.
