How to apply : Application in an envelope super scribed “Application for the post of ____________ for ESIC, Medical College/Dental College, ________________” should be submitted Speed Post/ Registered Post at the following address:- Joint Director (Recruitment), E.S.I. Corporation, Panchdeep Bhawan, C.I.G. Marg, New Delhi-110 002.

General Instructions:
(i) The crucial date for determining the age limit and other eligibility criteria shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India i.e. 31-10-2011 and not the closing date prescribed for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
(ii) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate for being called for interview.
(iii) A candidate should submit only one application for one post. In case candidate wants to apply for more than one post than he should submit separate application form for each post.
(iv) Similarly separate application form should be submitted for ESIC Medical College – Joka, ESIC Medical College – Coimbatore and ESIC Dental College, New Delhi.
(v) Application should be submitted in the prescribed form only. It should be filled up in block/capital letters in the candidates own handwriting.
(vi) Incomplete or Unsigned applications or the applications received without the certified copies of mark sheets /certificates of educational qualification, application fee, postal charges, caste certificate and photographs and those received after the last date of receipt of applications will summarily be rejected without any communication to the candidate.
(vii) Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.
(viii) Application should be sent in a cover super-scribed “Application for the post of ____________ for ESIC, Medical College/Dental College, ________________” by Speed Post/ Registered Post so as to reach at the address mentioned above on or before the stipulated date.
(ix) Candidates selected shall be liable to be posted anywhere in India as per the requirements of the Corporation.
(x) The Corporation takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or losses in postal transit of any application or communication.
(xi) Before applying for the post the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills the eligibility criteria mentioned above. The Corporation would be free to reject any application at any stage of selection process if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he has applied.
(xii) The selection for the above posts will be on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the Selection Board at designated centres. However ESIC reserves the right to change the centre, if need be. The results of the interview will be published in the Newspapers and on the website of the Corporation and no inquiry or correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
(xiii) Fee once paid is not refundable.
(xiv) Canvassing in any form will be disqualification.
(xv) Disqualification – No person:- (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts.

About the organization:
The promulgation of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948(ESI Act), by the Parliament was the first major legislation on social Security for workers in independent India. It was a time when the industry was still in a nascent stage and the country was heavily dependent on an assortment of imported goods from the developed or fast developing countries. The deployment of manpower in manufacturing processes was limited to a few select industries such as jute, textile, chemicals etc. The legislation on creation and development of a fool proof multi-dimensional Social Security system, when the country’s economy was in a very fledgling state was obviously a remarkable gesture towards the socio economic amelioration of a workface though limited in number and geographic distribution. India, notwithstanding, thus, took the lead in providing organized social protection to the working class through statutory provisions. The ESI Act 1948, encompasses certain health related eventualities that the workers are generally exposed to; such as sickness, maternity, temporary or permanent disablement, Occupational disease or death due to employment injury, resulting in loss of wages or earning capacity-total or partial. Social security provision made in the Act to counterbalance or negate the resulting physical or financial distress in such contingencies, are thus, aimed at upholding human dignity in times of crises through protection from deprivation, destitution and social degradation while enabling the society the retention and continuity of a socially useful and productive manpower.
