Candidates are invited to apply for the following vacant teaching and non teaching positions of Professor, Reader, Assistant Audit Officer, Ear Mould Technician, Multi Rehabilitation Worker and Driver Grade-II in All India Institute of Speech & Hearing. Posts of Professor is availale in the discipline of ENT and Clinical Psychology. Posts of Reader is available in the discipline of ENT, Speech Sciences, Speech Pathology and Special Education.

1. Recruitment of Professor (ENT and Clinical Psychology): Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 50 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

2. Recruitment of Reader (ENT, Speech Sciences, Speech Pathology and Special Education): Only 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Audit Officer: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

4. Recruitment of Ear Mould Technician: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

5. Recruitment of Multi Rehabilitation Worker: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 25 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

6. Recruitment of Driver Grade-II: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 25 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Application Fee: General and OBC candidates must send the non refundable application fee of Rs. 400 only. The amount of application fee is Rs. 100 only for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories. However, women candidates are exempted from the payment of this application fee. The application fee must be paid in the form of a demand draft only. The demand draft should be made in favour of Director, AIISH payable at Mysore only.

How to apply: Completely filled in application form in the prescribed format alongwith the copies of certificates or testimonials should reach to the below mentioned address on or before the last date. The enclosures should be kept in an envelope superscribed as “Application for the post of ________________”. The address to which the envelope should reach is: Director, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Manasagangothri, Mysore – 570006.

General Instructions:
1. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained through recognized Universities / Institutions.
2. The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification prescribed for the post.
3. Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate applications for each post indicating the name of the post in each application applied for.
4. The prescribed Essential Qualifications are a bare minimum and mere possession of it, will not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received are more in response to an advertisement, it may not be convenient or possible for the institute to interview all the candidates.
5. Director has right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reasons.
6. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
7. Director reserves right not to fill all or any of the posts mentioned in the advertisement.
8. Interim enquiries will not be attended to.
9. Age should not exceed the limit prescribed for each category of post as on the closing date of receipt of application. Upper age limit is relaxable as per GOI orders in respect of SC/ST (5 years)/OBC (3 years) for the posts reserved for these categories / physically Handicapped (10 years)/Ex-servicemen and in-service candidates (as per the GOI orders).

The blank application forms may also be obtained from The Director AIISH, Mysore on payment of prescribed application fee in person or by post enclosing application fee by way of DD favouring Director, AIISH, Mysore, payable at Mysore along with self-addressed stamped envelope of Rs.25.00.
11. Filled in downloaded application form from the web site should accompany the prescribed application fee, otherwise the application will be rejected.
12. Filled in application forms in the prescribed format along with copies of Matriculation / SSLC / Diploma / Degree /Provisional Degree Certificate (s) and Mark sheets for all the Semesters / Years, SC / ST / OBC Certificate(s), Certificate of disability and other testimonials in support of experience etc. should be sent in a sealed cover super scribed “Application for the post of ……………………………….” to the Director All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Manasagangothri, Mysore 570006

The All India Institute of Speech and Hearing was established in the year 1965 as an autonomous institute fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.The major objectives of the institute are to impart professional training, render clinical services, conduct research and educate the public on issues related to communication disorders such as hearing impairment, mental retardation, voice, fluency and phonological and language disorders.
