The University invites applications to fill up the following faculty positions by direct mode of recruitment

1. Professor : 14 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 + AGP of Rs.10000

2. Associate Professor : 14 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 + AGP of Rs.9000

3. Assistant Professor : 14 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 + AGP of Rs.6000

General Instructions:
1. Separate application form is to be submitted for each post.
2. No column of application should be left blank. Strike out those columns, which are not applicable.
3. All applicants who are presently employed in Government/Semi Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/University/Recognized Educational Institute etc are required to submit application through proper channel or submit a no objection certificate from present employer. However, those in private employment may submit application directly. Applications received late shall not be entertained and delay in transit shall be the responsibility of the applicants.
4. Fulfillment of conditions of minimum qualification shall not necessarily entitle any applicant to be called for interview.
5. In case of large number of applicants, University reserves the right to short-listing applicants in any manner as may be considered appropriate and no reason for rejection shall be communicated.
6. University reserves the right of not filling any post without assigning any reason.
7. Full name may be mentioned in application form. If there was change of name at any stage of time, original name may also be mentioned.
8. All appointments shall be made on temporary basis.
9. The claim for permanent employment shall be considered as per rules of University.
10. Completed application forms shall be submitted along with a demand draft/pay order of Rs. 500/- in favour of “Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University” payable at “Delhi”.
11. Application forms not accompanied by the requisite processing fee, shall not be considered and will be rejected without assigning any reason.
12. In case an applicant is not short-listed, no claim for refund of cost of application or processing fee shall be entertained.
13. Employment of the University shall be governed by the rules and regulations, service conditions, as may be notified by University from time to time.
14. In addition to basic pay, employee shall be entitled to other allowances as per rules and regulations of University.
15. No applicant having more than one living wife/husband is eligible for appointment.
16. Candidature of applicant shall be subjected to verification of testimonials at a subsequent stage.
17. In case of SC/ST/PWD Category the applicant should be in possession of appropriate certificate issued by competent authority.
18. No TA/DA shall be payable to applicant for any journey performed for attending the interview.
19. Canvassing in any form shall attract disqualification.
20. No enquiry personal or in writing for recruitment shall be entertained.
21. Legal disputes shall be subject to jurisdiction of Delhi Courts.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University ia an affiliating and teaching University , established by Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999.It is recognised by University Grants Commission, India under section 12B of UGC Act. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been accredited “A Grade” by NAAC during Feb- March 2007. The University has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by Standardization, Testing and Quality Certification Directorate, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India, for a period of three years . Functioning of the University commenced with the joining of Prof. K.K. Aggarwal as Vice-Chancellor in December, 1998. An emminent scholar and innovative person in Prof. K.K. Aggarwal, the first Vice Chancellor of the University, proposes to develop the University into a centre of excellence comparable to the best in the world.  The University is currently functioning from its Campus spread over an area of 16 acres at Kashmere Gate, Delhi. The University has taken possession of land measuring 60 acres at Dwarka (West Delhi) for setting up a State-of-Art Campus of the University with ultra-modern facilities. It has also been decided to establish another Campus of the University in East Delhi and land measuring 19 acres has been taken over opposite Surajmal Vihar, Karkardooma for this purpose. Within a short span of eight years, the University has been able to make its presence felt the world over. It is running more than 60 programmes in 08 University Schools of Studies and 86 Institutes (Government as well as self-financing), imparting professional education in various disciplines to more than 40,000 students with an annual intake of more than 12,000. Bandyopadhyay has spent 34 years of his career doing what he does best: inspiring students, academia, corporate and non corporate heads, and policy makers to raise their excellence to the next level. A thought leader with extraordinary insight and an avid scholar, Prof. Bandyopadhyay has contributed over 70 research papers in reputed national and international journals and won many awards for those. He has been a voracious speaker disseminating his ideas and knowledge in various conferences around the globe. He is a sought after speaker and has addressed various Indian and global management students in various countries notably Canada, France, Germany, UK, Sweden, Thailand . As an academic administrator, Dr. Bandyopadhyay has an unparalleled record. With his entrepreneurial vision and path breaking innovative methods, Dr. Bandyopadhyay turned around the fortunes of IIM Lucknow from embryonic stage to a reputed B-School where he was a Professor, acting director and Dean (1985-2004) and played a significant role-in repositioning IIM-Lucknow as truly integrated academic institutions. To name a few:- Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education by AIMA (2010); Faculty gold medal for excellence in academic achievements, Slovak University, Nitra(2010); Guru Baishista Award by Scholar Society (2009); Delhi Ratan Award (2009); Best dedicated Professor IIM Lucknow Award (1996) etc. The University was established as an affiliating and teaching University to promote studies in the emerging areas of higher education like Engineering, Technology, Business Studies, Computer Applications and Environment Management etc. In order to achieve this aim, the University has started some teaching programmes in various schools in the University Campus which have been established for teaching and research in their respective areas.The Examination Branch is one of the most sensitive organs of an University. Ours is an affiliating cum teaching University. The conduct of Examination for its programmes is, therefore, the major function of this Branch. Apart from conducting Common Entrance Test for admissions to various programmes of the University, the Examination Branch also conducts ‘End Semester’ Examination for various programmes being run in the University Schools of Studies and the Self Financing The admissions to various programmes in the University is based on merit a candidate attains in the CET. The Admission process is taken care of in an expeditious, systematic and transparent manner. A hassle-free CET process has been evolved. A prospective candidate –immediately on the submission of the Application Form – is issued his/her Roll Number, Examination Center, Date and Time of Examination etc. via a single window system. The results are declared as per fixed schedule to facilitate time bound counseling. Besides the Semester System, the University follows Credit based Evaluations. A student has to maintain 75% attendance to appear for an Examination. The students have to undergo regular internal assessments and extensive project work. The Examination system has been computerized fully. The University is also preparing its own Question Bank to eliminate dependency on external paper setters and ensure adherence of Examination schedule. Examination & Evaluation Centres All the affiliated institutions are actively involved in the smooth, efficient and timely conduct of Examination. Some of them have also taken the lead in accepting the onerous task of getting the answer scripts of certain academic programmes evaluated and thus enabling the University in the declaration of results as per preannounce schedule. Every year, Entrance Tests are conducted for admission to various Programmes of the University for its University Teaching Schools and it’s Affiliated Institutes. Unless otherwise specifically notified in course curriculum of a course , the following modified rules shall be applicable as per ordinance :-The Examination division of the university shall conduct Examination for the regular students who have undergone a regular course of study in the university or an Institution/College affiliated to the university  three times during the semester. The first terminal test will be conducted approximately at the end of the 6 th week, second at the end of 12 th week and third and final semester Examination will be held after the 17 th week of teaching or for a period specified for a course of study in the curriculum. The schedule of Examination shall be notified by this duration from time to time. The students who have secured an attendance less than 75% in a course shall not be allowed to take up the end semester Examination. The names of students who are not found to be eligible to take the end semester Examination in the various courses shall be treated as cancelled for those courses and if it is a core course, the students shall have to register themselves again when it is offered next. Besides above mentioned three terminal Examination in a semester, there will be other sessional assessments based on class tests term assignments and paper presentation etc. The students shall be informed in advance about the nature of assignment and procedures to be followed. A minimum weightage of 30% will be given to the two terminal tests and 50% to the end semester Examination. The system of assessing the students for the remaining 20% will be notified from time to time. Practical subjects will carry a weightage of 60% of marks for the tests and 40% for the end semester Examination. The results of Ist and 2 nd semester tests shall be declared by the individual group co-ordinator. There shall be no formal declaration of results of tests. However, the results of the final semesters shall be declared formally. The students shall have the option of clearing back papers in which they had secured less than 50% marks in a given semester, provided the course is being offered in that semester and the students are in regular touch with the relevant group co-ordinator , the teacher and completes  the necessary assignments, projects, term papers etc. The students desirous of improving their performance shall be required to attend the classes of these papers and under go the process of evaluation. A student wishing to clear a back paper may be required to attend classes during the summer vacation on the choice of group co-ordinator and the teacher of the particular course subject to the payment of prescribed fee.Every student shall apply on prescribed Examination form with Examination fee as prescribed by the University from time to time within the due dates notified.
