NIT Hamirpur invites applications for faculty positions at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Architecture, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Management & Social Science, Energy & Environment, Material Science & Engineering, Training & Placement Cell.
Assistant Professor
Qualification:
Ph.D degree with minimum of 1st class (60%) or equivalent grade (6.75/10) at the B.Tech./ M.Sc./M.A./ MBA level.(A through-out 1st class career is highly desirable).
Experience: Nil
Pay Scale: PB-3 (Rs.15,600-39100/-) AGP 6000,7000 or 8000 depending on academic record and experience
Associate Professor
Qualification:
Ph.D degree with minimum of 1st class (60%) or equivalent grade (6.75/10) at the B.Tech./ M.Sc./M.A./ MBA level.(A through-out 1st class career is highly desirable).
Experience:
At least 06 years of teaching/research/Industrial experience after obtaining Ph.d. Degree, out of which at least 03 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor in IIT, NIT or comparable institutions including CSIR Labs. and industries.
Pay Scale: PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67000/-) AGP-9000
Professor
Qualification:
Ph.D degree with minimum of 1st class (60%) or equivalent grade (6.75/10) at the B.Tech./ M.Sc./M.A./ MBA level.(A through-out 1st class career is highly desirable).
Experience:
At least 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, out of which at least 04 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in an IIT, NIT or comparable Institute of Higher learning or equivalent of 06 years at the level of Assistant Professor (5th CPC Rs.12000-18300/- scale)
Pay Scale: PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000/-) AGP-10,000 or 12,000 Minimum Pay in PB-4 will be Rs.43,000 for Direct Recruits.

- Application forms complete in all respects along with Xerox copies of certificates (Attestation not required), list of publication, reprints/preprints of latest publications and a detailed research plan should reach the office of the Registrar on or before 18th June, 2010 for consideration in the forthcoming round of selection process.. Incomplete application forms will not be entertained.
- Candidates have to pay an application fee for Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) in the shape of Bank Draft.

(a)For faculty members presently serving at NIT,Hamirpur, all specializations are acceptable.
