Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 with the objective to develop core competencies in Refining and Marketing of petroleum products with a focus on achieving international standards on safety, quality and cost; maximize wealth creation for meeting expectations of stakeholders and to contribute towards the development of the North Eastern Region. NRL is a Schedule ‘B’ / Miniratna CPSE in Petroleum (Refinery & Marketing) sector under the administrative control of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Director (Technical) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to Managing Director. He exercises overall control for achieving the highest standards of efficiency and safety in Refinery operations. He is also responsible for projecting, planning and executing new plants and facilities in the Refinery and timely completion of the projects. In addition, he is required to exercise overall control in marketing function including marketing projects.

QUALIFICATION:

  • The incumbent should be an engineering graduate from a recognized university/institute with good academic record.
  • Applicants holding MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in management will have an added advantage.
  • Minimum Qualification can be relaxed in the case of internal candidates and government officers with relevant and adequate background and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

The incumbent should possess adequate technical/operational experience at a senior level of management in a large organization of repute, out of which at least two years within the last ten years should have been in major production/ manufacturing units. Persons with experience in dealing with technical and Techno-economic functions of petroleum refining/petrochemicals industry will have added advantage.

UNDERTAKING BY THE APPLICANT/CANDIDATE:

  • An applicant has to give an undertaking as a part of the application that he/she will join the post, if selected. If an applicant does not give such undertaking, the application would be rejected.
  • If a candidate who appeared for the interview and is selected by the PESB, conveys his/her unwillingness to join after the interview is held, but before the appointment is processed, he/she would be debarred for a period of two years from the date of interview from being considered for a Board level post in any CPSE other than the one to which the candidate belongs.

  • Last date of receipt of applications in PESB is 20th July 2016. No application shall be entertained under any circumstances after the stipulated date. Incomplete applications and applications not submitted as per the prescribed format are liable to be REJECTED.
